I think it's safe to say that most of us were pleasantly surprised by Erden's play. Seems Doc plans on leaning on him early as Perk rehabs and also to keep Shaq and J.O. fresh. This is music to my ears, because having another experienced big man at playoff time would be a great thing.
For a second round pick, this looks to be another good one. This guy can probably play 18-20 minutes a game if needed and give them something. I am a Perk fan because I love his toughness, but Erden looks like he could be a more accomplished scorer already. He's not a double digit rebounder but it looks like he can defend one on one and he can block shots as a help defender.
Let's hope to see more of the same.
