    Shaq gets #34 retired.

Glad to see Shaq get his number retired by the Lakers, he was the most dominant player of his era winning three championships with L.A and 3 straight finals MVP's.

Shaq may have annoyed some Lakers fans by playing for the Celtics, he deserves to be recognized as an NBA great that accomplished his pinnacle playing for the Lakers.

    Well done Shaq.

It may be a race between LA and ORL to see who retires his number first.  Jeannie Buss said this on the radio last summer, " of course we will retire Shaq's number, who would think otherwise?"  If SHE ran the team, they'd be in better (and cuter) hands!!

Shaq's a comedian and although he comes out with some crazy stuff, he always grabs the attention of those within hearing.

Shaq was very well liked by most NBA fans and it is great to see the Lakers retire his number.  In the short-time he was with the Celtics, he became a fan favorite and we will have some very memorable moments of him.  The best was when he conducted the Boston Symphony.

It's good news. Certainly our MVP during the championship run from '00-'02. No Shaq no championships.

I doubt that Orlando will retire his number, same with Miami. Left Orlando in bad circumstances (which was consistent for his career), Miami almost painted themselves into a corner retiring Jordans number. Insanity.

If Shaq had retired his appetite last year, maybe he wouldn't of stressed his achilles tendon so bad.  DA shoulda seen that injury  coming ahead of time.  Shaq and BBD on the same team.  Bet a lot of all you can eat restaurants in the Boston area went out of business last year.

No Kobe, no championships. No Zenmaster, no championships. No triangle, no championships. No Robert Horry, no championships. What is your point or is it just ramble. Thanks for stating the obvious without any insight at all.

    Good luck with the AFL.
