I forgot how effective that hack-a-Shaq strategy is though. He looked pretty awful at the line the other night. They could use the 4th quarter rebounding but like Rondo, as great as he is, Shaq can be a liability too in tight games because the opposing team is just gonna put them on the line. -

Id play Shaq early on in the 4th. He rebounds, a killer in the post and gets the opposing team in foul trouble quickly.
At that point, if the games close, sit him down. At least the rest of the game the other team is in the penalty situation. -

Karl, you're right that Shaq is a foul magnet who will get other guys into foul trouble pretty quickly. I forget how adept he is at drawing contact. Early 4th quarter is a great time to play him. -

We keep winning the first quarter because Shaq and Garnett dominate the paint. Doc is going back to his losing strategy of going small in the fourth quarter. It didn't work then, and it won't work now.

So we use Shaq get a lead and then sit him down lose the lead and never bring him back in... we need those rebounds. -_-

Big Baby is playing very well thus far, but his lack of height defensively allows for too many interior baskets by the opposing during crunch time. I like Davis a lot, but closing out games may be a mistake. Shaq is a liabilty with his poor freethrow shooting. Unfortunately J.O is not playing well enough at this time to be closing out games. Maybe he will in the near future. Cross your finges on that one or say a few prayers. In conclusion, It's a tough decision for Doc. -

Maybe someone should call Doc and tell him the best way to coach his team. He obviously doesn't know much about the game. -

Small .... He had Robinson, Rondo, Allen, Quis and Baby in there together at one point ... that's small!
