No, but he is redundant if the get Smith.  With Martin, Gomes and Evans, they might take a look at Wilcox (maybe) for Foye!!

I'd be upset at losing an option underneath.   JJJ is coming around nicely, but he's no center.  He's a thin and upcoming forward but we are going to need bulk at times and last thing we should do is trade one of our big men for a small man.  With Bradley, Moore, Rondo, Ray, Pietrus, and Dooling - there's nothing wrong with our guard core.  We need size (inside scoring, interior D, and rebounding).

I love how just a week or two everyone was saying that the Wlcox pickup was the worst thing to happen since the Perkins trade...and now after fewer solid games than it took bad games to come to that conclusion, he's now a keeper?

    Wilcox is what he is.
He is 29 years old and averages 5 rpg in his career.

even if the celtics needed fire power, i doubt they will want JR smith...
pls that guy is a big loophole on defense and the way he play during offense looks as if its always a 1 v 5. he is definatly not a good fit here with the team playing solid defense and alot of half court execution.

Re: sign jr smith flip ray allen

Smith is the best garbage time player in the league, and trading away what Ray brings at crunch time for Smith is a net loss. As far as a Wilcox for Foye - does anyone remember the dearth of big men in the secondf half of last year? When O'Neal goes down, the 5 position gets scary thin. The Celtics were a pretty good team in the first half until both O'Neals became useless.
