Like I said, we are beyond the arguments. There's no point in arguing with you because you not only move the goal post, you move the entire field!

Just post here until the season ends. I want you to see how crappy the Lakers are this season. I need an audience for the punches in the grill that I will be throwing out.

Umm.... can't defend your own logic? That what I said, I don't even have to argue with you. Just use your own logic (arsenal) and you'll take care of yourself...

I think I am arguing with Fierce, why do you use another account (RedRust) to respond?

You officially blow your cover, not that it's a top secret...

    In response to Fiercest34's comment:

On the contrary, if you use my logic that means you're agreeing with what I'm saying.

Proof of that is if the Lakers didn't get Bynum with the #10 pick in 2005, there would be no Dwight Howard to the Lakers deal, right?

Use your logic simply to contradict your own claim, not that I agree with what you are saying.

Your logic: losing is losing. Then losing game 7 in the CF is no different from losing 1-4 in the 2nd round true or false?

True? then the Celtics in 2012 is no better than Lakers in 2012

False? then the Lakers reaching the finals is better than the Celtics losing in an early round, say, in 2004.

    Take your pick.

So what if they get Howard in 2012, according to you, the Lakers are a crappy team even with Howard. So by missing the playoffs, they got Bynum, who got traded for a player that turns the Lakers to a crappy team. In other words, missing the playoffs in 2005 => Lakers become a crappy team (by your logic).

So by your logic, missing the playoffs => crappy team.

In other words, missing the playoffs is not comparable to losing in the finals. Your logic.

Basketball IQ is usually reserved for the PLAYERS........not the fans.   But, trust me, when I played, my basketball IQ was superior to almost everyone else.

What I said was the Lakers are a crappy team.

    You're making stuff up again.

But according to you, the Lakers ARE a crappy team, despite having Howard, which is a result of having Bynum, which is the result of a lottery pick, which is a result of missing the playoffs.

This is simple chain of events. If you don't understand, just ask.

No chance, not for a nanosecond.

There are fans who know the game, and there are rah-rah fans who are here just to show their lack of basketball IQ. Your point of view that "trading for Gasol is NOT a viable option had Bynum not been injured" is simply a case of the latter. You sure can quote what Mitch said "Bynum's injury => Gasol trade", but you have absolutely no way to tell us why upgrading the team with chump changes was not a viable option.

    Your only viable options are:

    - Bynum's injury => Gasol trade clearly implies that had Bynum not injured, there would not have been any Gasol trade.

    - Bye

    - I am done with you.

    - I have shown the proof many many times...

A simple chain of events is the Lakers missed the playoffs in 2005, got a top 10 pick, and 7 years later traded that pick for Dwight Howard.

Again, stop making stuff up. I never said the Lakers are crappy because of Dwight Howard. What I said was the Lakers are crappy, period!

Show the post where I said the Lakers are crappy because of Dwight Howard. I dare you!

The Lakers are crappy, that's what you said, true or false?

The Lakers have Dwight Howard now, and you still call them crappy, true or false?

By your logic, missed playoffs leads to the Lakers getting Dwight Howard, true or false?

If you answer "false" in any of the question, then I'll worry about it.

Go ahead, try to get out of the corner you painted yourself into...

Particularly liked the tennis forum discussing basketball - that was  a real hoot.  I would say, in this case, we are both right.  Basketball IQ CAN be used to describe fans, but it is USUALLY reserved for discussing players.

Dying to see how majicShaq compromises.  My guess is.........he doesn't!!
