Resume-wise he's a reasonable option, but a deserter and a laker.  we can find someone just as good and cheaper with loyalty to the organization.  Even someone off our own bench.  Where is franks now?

Brian Shaw was a Laker, leaving the Celtics and he simply cannot get a head coaching job.  Let someone else hire him.

Brian Shaw was a Celtic traded to Miami for Sherman Douglas when he was slow to develop as a PG ... sound familiar?

He lost his entire family to a car accident while playing for Miami and restarted his career in L.A.

After finding out while watching TV that he had been passed over for Mike Brown as new Laker Coach he left and was hired by Larry Bird as an asst coach with the Pacers.

So he has ties to the Celtics and Larry Bird .... and was back stabbed by Jimmy Buss!

Brian Shaw might be a viable candidate but I'd rather they look at George Karl, Vinny Del Negro, Jeff Van Gundy or even Lionel Hollins first or at least interview them to see if they are fits as HC's with a rebuilding team.

Loyal like Doc?  Shaw in my opinion is the man for the job.

I agree.Shaw  mistreated the celtics, left the team, went to Italy, celtics took him to court,he ended up as a Laker. He had no respect for the celtics. Why should the celtics embrace him now.No Shaw, please.

The same could be said for Thibbs.

I would sign Van Gundy in a NY minute but doubt he would be interested.

The Clippers have also been talking to Shaw.   and If the Clippers want Shaw over Hollins, then he will go to the Clippers, a possible contender rather than a rebuilding mess.

If hired, he will probably do well for the excellent reasons shown above.  Personally, and it is childish, but I have never liked him since he undercut Larry Bird at a practice.

You're holding a grudge while Bird hired him as asst coach .... Interesting!

Couldn't blame him for that especially since he's be in L.A. for decades now and he'd get great pleasure in proving to the Lakers what they passed up on.
