    Steal of the draft

Jared Sullinger, enough said! Is he a rookie? he looks like he has been playing for a few years already...if healthy, banner 18 will be coming as soon as this season..

Might be Sullinger.  Might be PJIII.  Might be MKG...........all speculation at this point.  Very happy with Sully so far, though!

Tony Wroten Jr. from Washington to the Memphis Grizzlies is a sleeper. Watch him. Might be the second coming of Tony Allen, with better offense.

    Re: Steal of the draft

The key is he is doing what they drafted him for.  Nose for the ball, rebounding and good hands for the pick and roll.  He hasn't played against NBA talent but has looked good against the talent he has played.  You can't knock him yet but you can say he has been doing well so far.

But the trolls, said he needed to lose the caboose...now its, he has'nt played against NBA caliber talent..like he controls the schedule...lol...But that is coming..If you can't see a player when they are in front of you...or maybe secretly rooting for another team? Gee, can't figure it out...

Know what ridiculous is?  Actually writing on here that Sully had more shots blocked in Summer League than any other player...............where is the stat to back that up, Tommy?

    Fraud!

    Re: Steal of the draft

Obviously you cant say he's the steal in the draft, when no  rookie has even played one game yet. But as a cs fan you have to be encouraged. His rebounding (particulary offensive) is something sorely needed on this team. He seems focused on that area too, as even scal had mentioned in yesterdays game that sully not only boxes out on the defensive end but also on the offensive end.  He seems to realize that hes not gonna get many plays ran for him so the only way to get the ball is by o rebounding and some drop offs from rondo. The "bball iq" is obvious. Hes in the correct spot most of the times. He doesnt play rushed like most rookies. Has great hands.   Very polished player. Its hard to believe hes only 20.  I was sceptical how hs game would translate to the nba, but so far he has played very well.

    Re: Steal of the draft

By the way, no one is talking about this guy being the steal of the draft..and he has'nt played against any nba competition(Warriors) either...oops..

Rapid Reaction: Warriors 110, Lakers 83

    Sacre the starter

With Dwight Howard out, Mike Brown turned to second-round draft pick Robert Sacre to plug up the middle.

“I’m a West Coast Conference guy. He’s a West Coast Conference guy,” said Lakers coach Mike Brown, who went to the University of San Diego. “Even though he went to Gonzaga, I still don’t hold it against him. There are some ties there between the two of us, so he gets to start.”

Sacre rewarded Brown’s conference loyalty with six points and two rebounds in 13:35 of playing time.

After spending all week as the backup center against the Lakers’ video game starting lineup, Sacre said it was invigorating to be surrounded by all that talent. “I think it’s a pretty reassuring feeling,” Sacre said. “You can feel pretty confident. Knowing that those guys are behind you makes you feel strong and gets you ready for whatever you have to face.”

    Re: Steal of the draft

TommyRules,  how can you say that Dwight Howard is the best center in the NBA when he hasn't played one game since he had his back worked on?  There is no telling how he will be.  I had what was considered to be minor back surgery as well 2  years ago and I felt better the first 3=6 months after surgery.  From then on its been downhilll.  Once they cut on your back your never the same.  So how can u say he is the best?

    OneOnOne/Tardumb,

Dwight is easily the best center in the league.
Who would you put ahead of him? Milicic?
Maybe you should read about how small Dwights incision was.
    You are still a dolt.

Can we wait until the season starts before we call Sully the steal of the draft?  He looks good right now, but let's see what happens when it counts.
