In Response to Re: Stiemsma should be our starting center:
Stiemsma has 6 blocks and 4 rebounds in 20 minutes. He should start right away. Moore should move ahead of Bradley, and JJ should start getting minutes as well. Bradley and Pavlovic should sit.
    Posted by Kirk6
Kirk6, totally agree on all points.  I gave Pavlovic the benefit of the doubt since he had to defend Carmello and Lebron but this guy is a bum.  He is useless and we gave him a guaranteed contract.  Pavlovic should not even be playing and when Pierce and Pietrus return, hopefully he won't be.

The Avery Bradley experiment has not worked out.  It's time to put Moore in and develop him.  Every minute Bradley plays confirms he's just not going to be a player at this level.  Doc isn't even sure what position suits the guy the best.  He definitely isn't a SG and he's not a PG so what is he?

Even if he doesn't start right now, Stiemsma should get increased minutes from here on out and if he continues to show that activity and energy, he should take the starting center spot.  We all JON can only give us limited minutes anyway.

    JO is just terrible.  Awful.

So it's not that people are ready to hand the keys over to Stiemsma, but they're sure ready to take they from JO.

Ainge couldn't improve the bigman spot.  I get that their were no 7 footers out there, but even a 6'9 PF would have been a significant upgrade.

Leon Powe looks real good right now.  JO is just done.
Start the kid or at least give him or more minutes than JON.  JON is the single biggest problem the Celtics have right now.  Sit him, beg him to retire, have him take up sky diving, just get him off the floor.

KG has gotta be running a close 2nd. And It also looks like every player (Noah form las year, Bill Walker, Landry last nite, etc) in the league that has ever had a problem with him when he could play will be taking their shots at him as it appears he has lost his ability to play (rebound, blk shots, finish at the rim) , SO he no longer even intimidates the other players any longer he just looks foolish ranting on the court without gettin any thing accomplished. I have a feeling he def is NOT coming back next year as a role player. He's finished. In 2007 he's was a guy capable on coming up with a 20pt 20rbs 3blks game on a given night. he can even get 10pt 10rbs night now. It happen to Hakeem Olajuwon, Patrick Ewing, Zo Morning. ONe day its 2007 the next day its gone! It would be sad to see what doc and DA are seeing in practice watching Bass, Wilcox, and Steimsma abuse kevin.

Add him to a list of player in which Steimsma is more effective than.

I say just get him in the rotation;  make sure KG is well rested for the final quarter.

After last night, I don't think you can keep him out of the rotation.   In addition, the blocking shots, he seems to have soft hands and made that little hook shoot, and based what I saw in the preseason he can hit the elbow jumper.

The blocking of the three pointer was enough for me....  a definite upgrade from Semih Erden.

This is basically it. Stiesma might not be that good but everyone isn't blind. JO is hot garbage.
In Response to Re: Stiemsma should be our starting center : McHale's 9 blocks were not in 20 minutes. And I don't think they recorded blocks when Wiliam Felton Russell played. Can you imagine how much Bill Russell's advice might help Stiemsma?
    Posted by Kirk6
He'd tell him blocking a shot is no good if you don't keep it inbounds, and direct it at a teammate.  Steamer seems to understand this!!
