He will have surgery to repair the disc issue, and be back next season! It is not like the guy will never play again!! Better to deal with this early in his career, versus later on!It is a loss this season however! If DA was on the fence about making trades for the future, I think he just got knocked off!

This is very sad news - his play was really excellent.
back surgery - ugh! he won't be back next year either.
Ainge is going to hope they lose 90% of the remaining games and get in the lottery.
In the meantime - call up Melo

I don't feel as bad. Wilcox just came back and he looks fine. Not a huge difference between him and Sullinger at this point. Long term Sullinger might be a better player but no big deal right now.
