In Response to Re: The future : Um, hello we won #17 with Posey. He left after we won. Now ask me did we need him the following year when we lost to Orlando....YES.

As if underpaying Posey and giving him a 1 year contract would have meant the Celtics could keep him. Posey was a gun for hire, he used the Celtics to jump-start his career.

In Response to Re: The future : P34, Why are those the only options? Maybe because they fit your point. Where are the other options? C. Win #18 and sign BBD to an extension D. Trade BBD before the deadline and still win #18 I prefer D

    Option D will not happen.

You really think the Celtics can easily replace what BBD does for the Celtics?

This isn't fantasy basketball, we all know that if the player is not familiar with the system Doc isn't going to play him. By February, March, and April the Celtics will not have many practices available.

BiasLewis, there are more than 3 people here, on this board, that disagree with you on trading BBD. Think about that.

Is this one of those "Sean Williams will give the Celtics the athleticism the Celtics haven't had in years on the frontline" kinda stuff?

    Re: The future

Danny will have some money and assets to get some good players and a player like Davis is key part of any good team.  West is in his prime and would be a glue player for several years and a big part of a good team.  Even if these two payers are used in a future trade they could prove to be very valuable.
