    The mystery of Jeff green

The mystery of Jeff Green continues.  What can Doc and Danny see that makes this guy stick for four years?  This decision alone was so crucial it cannot be that Green is just versatile player with no  impact or can it?   He is supposed to be a replacement for Pierce who is giving the team a very low impact 19 pts. a game.  Last night with no rebounds.  Put Green out there for thirty minutes and see what he can do.  Or admit you made a mistake and move him Dec. 15.

Can't move him until January 15.

I agree that if he's just going to be Pierce's backup then he should be traded. At 9m per year, he's too expensive to be a backup.

The mystery of Jeff Green is how Doc and Danny have doubled down on the guy. I respect their knowledge so why is Green unable to excel when these two experts who see him compete in practice can't get him to do it on the floor. To make it more confusing Doc never plays him enough to really see if he can produce. Pierce certainly does not help this guy's development but as you said Pierce despite his fall off in talent is a guy bent on being aggressive.

Fierce the blessing may be in trying to get Gortat in December it will be Bass, Lee, or Melo who goes. Green will stay and Bradley will get in the rotation and may find himself.  Green has more upside than Lee or Bass.  Of course the question becomes what will Phoenix decide they want and from who.
