Shaq is great but he's always about the money. Did you see how he stole the Celtics money last season? You got to love the big fella.

I'd like to hear how that is going to happen - and please don't insult my intelligence....BOS has a better chance right now than LA...oh, and I want YOUR opinion, don't give me any laker-biased web sites, I've read them all....how does GK propose the lakers get DH?

Easy. Dwight loves LA limelight and Lakers have the pieces to get him. Remember the Gasol for Kwame Brown and Mark Gasol which we can all see now was an even trade. Don't under estimate the Buss fam and Mitch Kupchak.

By the way the Celtics would have to wait until 2012 and I don't think the Magic will wait that long and lose him for nothing. What do you guys have to offer right now??????

Right now - Otis (my man) Smith says you have to take Arenas if you want Howard......that would mean the lakers have to trade Bynum, Odom, Walton and Blake for Howard and Arenas!  Does that make you any better?  This is NOT the Carmelo situation - the Magic will trade him at the deadline to SOMEONE....and rebuild with young players...then DH becomes a FA, and unavailable to LA.

DH has stated he is NOT Shaq - and wants to make his own way....

True, we have to wait until 2012 to get him, we could NOT trade for him now.....looks like 2012 will be the next time we see the NBA at this rate.  He's already said he's playing out his contract, and Smith has said he's not trading him............I applaud your confidence, though......if that's what it is!!

It's just wishful thinking just like every fan that wants the best for his team. No one knows for sure what will happen. I just hope Dr. Buss and Kupchak work their magic once more.

Wouldn't Chris Paul make more sense than Dwight. I'm not saying it because I want DH on the Celtics. You have a young Center and a PF in his prime and a solid backup who can play both spots. Why give up that depth and the few decent bench players you have for arenas and DH. You could trade your absolute garbage to NO and get Chris Paul. The leauge has taken over ownership of that team. Damn, Bynum alone could land you CP3. Bynum and Fisher and a few picks could land you CP3 and David West. If the Lakers did that I'd gaurantee they get 17 next year. The other way I don't know, you have an aging fisher at pg, an aging Kobe and if you trade two of your big men for Howard you don't have a bench player to spell him when he gets into his regular foul trouble. I don't see success in that.

Re: The Original decision done the right way

Fakerweaknation may have something there. As a GM you have too look at what prevented you from winning and what pieces do I need to get to that winning level. Kobe is a top 5 player, Gasol is in his Prime, Bynum still has upside. You can't do much more to improve at those 3 spots. Derek Fisher is oooolllllllddddd! Period. That is where they were exposed by Dallas. Kidd and Barea made Fisher there B***H. You also have to pay an aging artest and aging Odom. Odom and Artest are the least of the Lakers worries. They need a PG to even be close to a championship. If you miraculously steal howard from Orlando you get DH and you are saddled with overrated Arenas and still stuck with Old Fisher. I'm sorry that makes the Lakers farther away not closer.

It would need to be Fisher Bynum and some picks to get that deal done.
