The Rockets, just like the Pistons are more relevant than the Celtics!

The Celtics have the most recent title, but the Rockets have more titles over the past 25 years and have not had to wait more than 40 years for back to back titles.

It is a pretty close call, but I have to lean towards the Rockets as being the more relevant and impressive franchise as they have won championships in the NBA MODERN era as compared to the Celtics who won the majority of their titles when the league consisted of less than 10 teams.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: The Rockets, just like the Pistons are more relevant than the Celtics! : Stupid is not knowing how many titles the Lakers won playing in Minneapolis. Especially for a "supposed" Celtic fan. Let me guess, you just started watching the NBA in 2008?  LMAO

Since you claim to be so smart you stated the Celtics were dominant when the league had less than 10 teams. Check you history books stupid. The Celts were still dominant in the late 60s when the NBA expanded to 10 teams which is more than your less than 10 teams. If you use your 10 fingers or toes to count, if you know how you might come to that conclusion, but my guess is you didn't make it out of kinder garden.

Well the Celtics were dominant in the early to mid -80s along with your Lakers and there were 23 teams in the NBA in those days not 10. And you make a stupid remark about the slums of Boston, like LA doesn't have it's slums like where the LA riots were. Those areas are still slums to this day or are you in denial.

Intelligent fans don't go onto other teams sites to insult other towns and their teams. Only idiots like you act in an immature manner. Go back home and hide in your little dog house.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: The Rockets, just like the Pistons are more relevant than the Celtics! : Dont be so gullible. Houston has been more relevant than the Celtics due to the fact that they and have more titles than the Celtics in the past 25 years and have won back to back titles within the last 40 years. You should not be so jealous. Hey, your team was dominant back when the league had less than 10 teams and dinosaurs roamed the Earth.  LOL hahahahahahahahaha

Not sure about the Rockets being more relevant in the last 25yrs but they have been more successful. How far does one go back though? Going back to the 60s could also be argued that there is no relevancy in that the game was played differently, rules were different and certainly not all the best players from around the planet played in that league. It was what it was though, that's all anyone can really say.

Certainly rules have changed, players are better conditioned these days and the addition of international players is a huge plus but one can also argue that because of expansion the talent pool is watered down. It is all supposition and theory and makes for interesting conversation. At least you are an LA fan that makes sense unlike your counterpart with his silly arguments.

Curious comment - WRONG - but curious.  10 players?  5 on a team?  1 ball? 2 baskets?  24 second clock?  3 second rule?  Hmmmmmm - don't see how the game was that different.  The only mildly true statement you made is about International players not playing.  Know the reason?  They weren't good enough back then.  International hoops have taken off in the last 20 years.  But, trust me, if they were good enough back then, Red would have found them and brought them over......have a nice day.  Nice picture of Magic, btw, HE is a true hero!

Nope, same rules for all of Boston and all 11 of LA titles.  Of course, the 5 titles STOLEN by MN were before the shot clock.  Thanks for not counting them!!  First intelligent thing you've said today!!

And the Lakers couldn't win titles when their were only ten teams in the league because the Celtics owned them.
