Rondo defends like a girl, he stands and waves at his guy on their fast break. He stops few penetrations. Trade Rondo for Gasol and we should improve immediately. He would fit well with the Lakers. A good trade for both teams. Gasol would help our rebounding which is last in the NBA. He would improve our scoring both inside and outside. He defends and the guy that replaces Rondo would defend. Bigs are hard to get and one with the skills of Gasol are almost impossible to get. Last game Rondo shot 25 % and missed a layup that would have sealed the win, right by himself. He is a near allstar at best and could be replaced and is not wanted by many teams but the Lakers are willing to do this. Another player would need to be thrown in say, the very wore out O'Neal. Also Ray Allen needs to be the sixth man and Pietrus should start and we would see an immediate improvement defending the ball. -

Rondo is useless tonight but other nights he is anything but. This is the problem with this team and why we are going nowhere. -

The big three just can not carry Rondo this year, they have made him into a near allstar. But I don't think he is constant enough or has the ability to make us a real playoff threat, he would be fine with Lakers or a team like the Heat, because they could carry him like the big three did for a few years. We could use a face lift like Gasol, think of Gasol, Garnett, and Pierce on the front line with a defensive 1 and 2. It appears that it is a move that we need to make , like it or not. There are no guarnatees. -

Trade Rondo. Everybody has wet dreams when Rondo goes off on a triple double... and in the meantime he is a second rate PG. 5 points and 1 rebound in 36 minutes tonight. Wow. His inconsistency is uncceptable unless we want to remain a .500 team. -

Doc (and Rondo) were performing CPR on dummies tonight. They never found a pulse. I think we were getting out-rebounded by 20 by the 2nd quarter?!
Outquicked to the ball and clangin' shots all night. Still no rebounder and these guys are really showing their age. No live bodies out there. It is what it is.
Rondo would have had 20 assists if just Bass had made his shots, and we still would have lost. We do need some immediate help, but you're trading the wrong guy. -

Doc isn't helping himself any going with a 9-10 man rotation, especially on back-to-backs. He should play the vets when they have energy but after a tough overtime game like Houston he should know that it may be futile to get aanother night of AllStar ball from his tired vets and concede to use the subs and let the chips fall where they land. Otherwise, even with a day or two of rest they could continue to fall like dominoes ... take one loss to make two wins or A) get help asap or B) trade the Superstars before they turn into Supernovae*.

Did Tommy Heinsohn actually say "someday somebody will gobble him and he won't be a good scorer" when referring to Evan Turner? I thought Rondo was some great defender - maybe Rondo was guarding Holiday, you know, the guy that was just making uncontested 3s like it was a layup drill or toasting Rondo on the baseline and making a pull up 12 foot jumper, etc.
