The problem with our "old" players is that they are old.  Rondo is young.  Personally, I don't want to trade the guy.......BUT - he is our most tradeable asset given his youth and talent.  There are not a lot of teams to trade him to right now, and that is one problem!

The board is full of Danny Ainge types too.

Celtics will be fine.  Danny has to be patient, unlike fans.  He has cap room coming if he is just patient and does not trade for someone that locks us in for the long term.  He also has young players that are coming along.  He also has 2 draft picks.

Patience, Danny.  Don't do anything stupid and you can build a nice team over the next year or 2 while also having a playoff team this year.   Doc is working on a team that has 9 or 10 players who all contribute.

If they don't produce playoff level basketball by trade deadline, look at all trades.  But don't take on some bust who eats up your cap room.

Please don't refer to that coach by his name.  I get a headache thinking about all the wasted years he was at the helm.

Truth of the matter is they can go in one of two direction-a bold move to contend this year or scrap things and start the rebuild now.  If they think the window is still open (personally I think it slammed shut with the Green injury and the David West deal falling through) they will try and do something.  If they pacakge up Rondo and pieces for Nash, Hill and Lopez for one last shot at a ring so be it.  More than likely the road is at an end for this bunch-what the team looks like next year is of little consequence since it will be rebuilt (w/out Rondo if it is a longer process, with him if it is done on the fly).
