How is Doc going to decide on the amount of minutes our guards play? I am looking for other people's opinions. There are only 96 minutes for these 4 players. Rondo - 36 minutes Lee - 20 minutes Terry - 24 minutes Bradley - 16 minutes
    Posted by TommyRules
Actually he will not.  By mid-season the surplus player will be packaged in a deal to fill the roster needs.  By the time the Lakers discover that they are swimming in molasses, the Celts will be exercising their flexibility to position themselves for a championship.  So make sure that you enjoy yourself maximally because this is the highest point for you Lakers fans.

    Re: Time Management

Lee can actually play some three depending on the opposition ..... Which frees up more minutes. They will all play a good amount. Terry signed here with the understanding that Ray may re-sign. Minutes aren't a concern
In Response to Re: Time Management : Most GM's won't deal with Danny. We are stuck with 4 guards, none of them will be happy with their playing time.
    Posted by TommyRules
True.  It is hopeless.  I feel sorry for you Lakers fans.  Given Danny's incompetence, he will not be able to shoot himself in the foot with a mid-season trade.  That was the only way to keep this roster from winning a championship.

Well he will screw up in the off-season.  There is 2014 for you guys unless Nash gets injured taking a morning dump.  BTW, for a guy that can't sit, do you know how he does that?  Are they building special toilets for him at the forum?

    Re: Time Management

If Tommy Rules is a Celtics fan then we need to disassemble the franchise and move the team to Vegas. I'll bet if we took the minutes played by each player and calculated the age per minute it wouldn't even be close the Laker's would be the oldest team in the league. You know that Kobe, Nash, Gasol, MWP and Howard will get the bulk of the minutes. Howard is the only young one in that bunch. The Celtics will play Pierce and KG starters minutes but will have Rondo, Lee and Avery playing a lot of minutes during the season and Jeff Green and Sully may get some playing time also. Tommy Rules needs to go to the LA Forum and have fun with his Lakers fans and leave us alone.

In response to "Re: Time Management":
In Response to Re: Time Management : So, when Lee is playing the 3, Pierce and Green (if he signs) will be on the bench. How many minutes per game will Green play this year? If PP plays 30 at SF, Lee 5, that leaves 13 for Green. $36m for 13 min/game?  Posted by TommyRules
Green will play some PF
