Time to bring up Fab Melo

Play him the few minutes that Collins has been playing. Collins doesn't do anything but play defense for a couple of minutes or sit the bench the whole game.

    Agreed! Collins is a waste.

I think they'd rather he develope. They have higher expectations for Melo than Collins. Sitting here riding our bench he won't improve and he is not good enough to play big minutes now so he will sit.

Bingo! You dont rush a player like Melo who could, if brought up, be abused and make mistakes and that is not good for a young players ego....

Bring Melo up now.  He is either going to be a player or he isn't.  Stop with the coddling nonsense.  We are in a world of enabling and worrying about everyones feelings.  Kick him in the butt and make him tougher and smarter so he can help the team.  We are payign him to play and win games.  So get him up here.

It's not about his feelings. It's about his skills. Playing 35 minutes of man to man defense gets you better at man to man defense.  Playing 35 minutes a game lets you get to see the game. it let's you develope your skills and experiment and take hook shots and work on your post skills in live action.

He can do that here if you want Kevin Garnett to ride the bench and since that is just beyond crazy if fab comes up  he will ride the bench and not get better.

Fab has only been playing basketball since he was 17. He needs time to develop.

We are paying him?  I thought the Celtics were paying him?  He can probably use all the minutes he can get in the NBADL.  I'd rather he get 30+ minutes there than 4-5 minutes of scraps and garbage time in Boston.  If he could offer more than Collins, he would be in Boston.  Look at Sullinger, he's playing.  He's ready, that's why.  The C's have a need at the 5 and if they thought he could help he'd be here.
