    Fierce,

Woops ... totally (accidentally) stole your "post" regarding this "news". My B

I think that the best part about this is that we hold him under contract for three more years, so he absolutely cannot coach the NBA unless the Celtics release him. NOW STEPHEN A.  this is when you can start discussion possibilities around *Trading* Doc. If he really wanted that Clippers job and otherwise would go into media for the next three years, we could trade him to the Clippers and ask for something in return... obviously you can't trade Doc for Griffin as doc's salary is not part of the cap.

Maybe Doc and Ainge can go as a package deal, and LB comes in as a part owner GM, and Brian Shaw or Kevin McHale as coach.

Fierce, why do you keep saying he can come back. Why would he come back?

There is one name I don't hear many people bring up....

    Avery Johnson

I think he would be a good coach for the C's.

Yeah, yeah, he went to Italy.  I remember.  I also remember the Celtics boned him after he dumped his agent by signing him to a lousy contract - it increased like 100,000 grand a year over 4 years.

Doc coming back is always an option.

Avery Johnson is the opposite of Doc Rivers. Meaning if Doc is a player's coach, Avery Johnson is a player's bad dream.

Players seem to get tired of Avery Johnson very quickly. Just like in Dallas and in Brooklyn.

    [/QUOTE]

NO!NO!NO!NO! No Avery Johnson!  Avery Johnson doesn't let his players play.  He calls every play - like Jimmy Rodgers and Rick Pitino.  It's horrible basketball to watch.  We should look at Nate McMillan.  How about bringing back Jim O'Brien?  He was agood coach.

Doc has turned into Phil Jackson before our very eyes.

    Phil Jackson overrated?

I also don't like the Lakers, but Phil Jackson is not overrated.

    Who are you anyway?

You just made that chris33 account the other day, but obviously you've been here before. So what other user IDs do you have here?

    Can you prove it?

You have the audacity to accuse someone of having multiple IDs when you don't even have a clue who's on this forum.

And why would someone like me need multiple IDs when the "Fierce Brand" is very popular?

Even you can't stop talking about "The Fierce One".

Yes, I have proof you have a minimum of 5 ids... how sad you are

Game, Set, Match..... you just got schooled boy!!

I 've been wondering if Doc is being coy now...even though he knows Ainge is re-building the team this off-season and he will "retire" as HC, already.

is Doc being coy to perhaps make a better shot for one of his Assistants to get a better shot t being the new HC?

if most/all of the "top" HC candidates get signed, before Doc "retires" , doesn;t he do just that?

if so, which of his Assistants could he be "helping"?
