They don't care as long as he's off Celtics roster. Then they'll find another Celtics player to hate on.

Well Fierce, its clear that Rondo is certainly not a top-10 point guard and definitely not very valuable as a trade asset. So according to the haters, I'd expect they'd take a Jennings & Stuckey for Rondo & Wallace swap. SMH

On a more realistic note ... I don't know why they weren't all over my trade idea of:

Rondo for Trey Burke & Gordon Hayward ... personally I wouldn't do that unless it also included a pick and/or a swap of Wallace for Biedrins or Jefferson

We don't have to trade for Rondo....  we already have him on the roster.

On a serious note...  I do like R9R's idea of Rondo for Trey Burke & Gordon Heyward.  Works for me.

Ya, only problem is that Utah would laugh at Danny for even suggesting such a trade.

Drop on the floor in hysterics and soil their pants at the idea of adding Wallace for Jefferson.

In any case, Rondo would be leveraged only to get a BIG man.

Come on, everyone has a purpose. Haters are meant to hate on others..While us productive people are focused on moving our own agendas forward, haters focus on bashing and hate. So please fellas, let these haters do the only thing they know how to do in this world and HATE.

Seriously?? Hayward & Burke for Rondo is laughable? Man, I'm OK with people disagreeing with me but this is absurd. Now I really want to know. What the heck do you think is a fair Rondo trade proposal? Maybe Rondo for Jeremy Lin? Or is that laughable too?

Rondo haters have their place ... but straight idiots do not.

    Re: To All Rondo Haters

All of these proposals are workable. Me, I keep Rondo. But, if you get two young guys both with potential talent, that's a deal. Monroe and Jennings may make sense but I'd need something else, probably between a Wallace dump and 2nd round pick. But you ask for Drummond. You atleast start the conversation with Drummonnd. Play Jennings, Bradley, Green, Sully, Monroe heavy minutes. That's a team (one Rondo away) from playing in the post season, but likely to drop stretches of games. Hope for Wiggins, but settle Smart, turn Jennings into a sixth man and start anew.

Rondo for a top 5 pick works for me. Rondo for Monroe,  i would do also. Rondo for Cousins, any day.

    So the bottom 14 teams:

    76ers:  76ers

    Suns: Suns

    Magic: Magic

    Kings: King (12 Cavs)

    Jazz: Jazz

    Hornets: (10 Bulls)

    Celtics: Celtics

    Pelicans: 76ers

    Bucks: Bucks

    Hawks: Hawks

    Lakers: Lakers

    Raptors: Raptors

    Portland: BobCats (12)

Seems like a stupid list, but it shows that the teams that we could trade for a top5 pick are rebuilding teams tanking to get and keep one of the top5 picks. Certainly the 76ers, Suns, and Magic fall into this category. Maybe there's a Magic deal out there. Doubt it. Then we have the Kings, Jazz and Hornets. All could land that #1 pick. All already have young talent and aren't in win-now mode. Maybe Milwakee gets lucky and then agrees to trade for Rondo. Its going to be tough to trade up for a top 5 pick.

Exactly my thoughts.  That is not just a no brainer.  That is brave.  But then why should a Celtics fan propose a trade that does not break in Celtics favor.  Except those that want Danny to waive Rondo.

Well put.  I was excited about the options after the trade with Brooklyn.  But as I think about it, there aren't that many options.  I doubt that Danny will be able to dump Wallace's contract, unless AB shows up big and gets packaged with Wallace (an unlikely scenario).  This means that there is not much room for a free agent play because in 2015, Rondo and Green will be in line for new deals.

Trading Rondo does not make sense until you find a replacement star.  So it seems very important that the Celts dip into lottery while developing their current players.  Developing their current players means that they can't showcase Wallace and Humphries.  Pierce and Garnett have already advised Rondo not to rush his rehab.  So the situation is well lined up for a lot of effort and a lot of losses.

Depending upon injuries and other factors there will possibly be a market for the likes of Bass and Lee by trade deadline.  For 2014 draft, it does look like the Celts will only have their lottery pick and that is their best course of action.  The Nets' pick will probably the middle of the pack.  I just can't get myself to wish bad for the Nets.  I want them to win it all in 2014.
