    Well, with only 8 teams in the league in the 60's, don't know how you can limit it to 12.  Satch was picked 8th in the draft, which is the last pick in the first round.  Not too bad, either!

    Yeah Satch could play a little bit for sure! Just trying to find a cut off where the pick is not a guy who was pretty much a no brainer pick. Satch was big time at NYU. But no real scientific spot for that cut off.

    Yes Max at 12 was the perfect guy on those early 80s teams. He was a monster against Houston when he got the MVP.
