Trade With Golden State Would Give Celtics 3 Young Veteran Contributers For Playoffs...

    Bedreins
    Acie Law
    Lou Admundson

    for:

    J'ON
    Marquis
    Semi
    Harangody
    Avery
    ________________________________________________________

The big Russian Andres Bedrins is the centerpiece - he has an expiring contract so you're not tied to him. He can backup Perk and KG if need be. He is a rebounder and he is tough.

Acie Law has always been caught in a numbers game wherever he has been. He is a big tough backup point guard who can shoot and play D. He can give us this year, what Avery Bradley cannot.

The real wild card is Lou Admundson. Phoenix Suns fans LOVED this guy like Celtics fans love Big Baby. He is a HIGH ENERGY player who can rebound, defend and score inside. He is longer than Big Baby, but also quick enough to play small forward for 10 minutes a game. Between him and Von Wafer, I believe this would fill the Pierce backup void...

All three players are are on short money contracts, all three are young but also playoff tested. And all three are hungry to escape the stink of losing. All three of these players could imact the Celtics while averaging just 15 minutes a piece.
    ____________________________________________________________

The three Celtics rookies  going to Golden State have promising futures, especially Semi. But he is one play away from being done for the season with his bad shoulder. Avery is not ready for to play in the playoffs this year, and the Celtics need someone in his roster spot who can play 10 minutes in the playoffs.
Luke is the same as Avery. Will probably play 10 years in the NBA, and 5 years from now will probably be a valuable role player for a playoff team. But that doesn't do the C's any good now.

Biedrins DOES NOT HAVE AN EXPIRING CONTRACT! He's under contract until 2013 and has a player option in 2014.

Why would the Warriors do that deal?

Jermaine O'Neal- why would anybody want him?
Marquis Daniels- likely out for the year anyway.  Why would they want him?
    Erdan- a career 11th or 12th man
    Harangody- a career 11th or 12th man.
Bradley- the most valuable player that you mentioned.

Overall, you'd have to think the Warriors can do better than this.

Makes no sense whatsoever.  We need a SG/SF not an ineffective/inconsistent center, another backup PG and an under-performing backup F who barely gets any playing time at GS who have a horrible bench.

All three players are not worth any effort nor add any positive impact to the Celtics.

not sure i agree with the trade, but how can you possibly know how good erden and luke will be in a couple years? career 11th or 12th man? based on what? bc they arent playing like Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce? THEY ARE ROOKIES. rookies that havent performed poorly might i add.

Why bother with a trade that doesn't even work?

Acie Law can't be traded until March 9, 2011.

Erden and Avery have very High potential...Gody..not sure.. but I don't see that value coming back to us in this trde....rather have a real small forward and back pt guard if were going to give up these three.....if not lets wait to see who gets bought out..on the cheap..

I agree with you.   Can't really evaluate Erden and Luke since they haven't played many games and just started in the league.  They could both become very good players in the next couple of years.

Dude no offens but not evry one loves big baby personally the bad things he does on the court outweighs the good things.. having 1 good game every 5 games for the amount of time he plays is horrible.

    2. Most like him because of one shot that he hit last year that one a game for us.

    3. He is the most blocked shot person in the league and he thinks he has the range of Kevin Garnett which he does not.

    4. Sorry but we need a big man who can average more then 3.8 rebounds per game for 30 minutes of work.

    5. He is not a good player period regarldess of who loves him or not.  He makes this team worst.

this was the dumbest post on the discussion. Big Baby is in discussions for 6th man of the year..he shows versatility in being able to move from the 4 to the 5 and being able to guard ppl from pau gasol to dwight howard. he isnt the most blocked guy in the league anymore, that was last yr (watch the games) and he does have pretty good range (watch the games). bottom line is he is our most consistent and best man off the bench, and can also fill a starting role for 2-3 games at a time if need be. he makes the team worse??? WATCH THE GAMES.

p.s- the playoff game winner was 2 years ago..watch the games.

    Hi,
Re: BBD. He's actually on the floor with the starters in every close game.
I wonder who else in NBA is so efficient at both 4 and 5?

LOL sorry but big baby can not guard gasol or dwight howard... you are an idiot.

Oh im sorry he doesnt get blocked because he flops on the ground evertyime he goes up for a layup?  OH wait your right he shoots 18 foot jumpshots...

I watch every game hence why we are one of the worst rebounding teams in the league.

The only reason why he is in consideration for 6th man award is because he has 4 NBA all stars around HIM plus SHAQ, JERMAINE ONEAL, PERKINS.

the "HOOPLA" about the 6th man award is he is suppose to be filling in for perkins, shaq, oneal... IF all three were healthy this slob would not be on the court.

Sorry he doesnt have the range GLENN DAVIS SHOULD NOT be shooting the ball 15 times a game especially only playing 25 or greater minutes...
You ask why is he shooting this much? Because hes taking stupid outside shots...
    6-15, 4-14, 4-17, 6-14, 2-10, 3-11... WE LOSE

And he is 1-9 on threes? WhyTF is he shooting threes for?

If he focused on BEING a BIG MAn and under the hoop for REBOUNDS he would average more then Offensive rebound per game.

Defensively against the lakers he averages .5 blks .5 stls 1 offensive rebound 3 defensive rebounds.
IN 30 MINUTES im sorry but as a person who is suppoose to start be a "sixth man"  no thanks.. i can get that out of a guy who is in their for 5 minutes a game.

I watch the games, get off the bandwagon, you were probably a scalabrine fan too when he ran out there and ran around with his head cut off.

Big baby does nothing for this team, watch how fast teams catch up when davis is on the floor. IE lakers, HEAT, they take advantage of his poor defensive and leave him oopen to take the shot.  You obvviously are a bandwagon fan.

I been watching games since xavier mcdaniels, dana barros and ron mercer were going 11-71

Clarkeyj1, you are a bombastic idiot, a worthless fool, and an invalid poster on this board. You need common sense because you have none.

You must be watching the Celtics with your eyes closed, because if you are watching the Celtics with your eyes open, you wouldn't have said what you just said.

Big Baby is a bona-fide player in this league who can step in and start for any good team. All sports analysts, reporters, commentators, and broadcasters mention his name as a candidate for the sixth man of the year. He started several games for Boston and did more than a good job. He is Celtics best bench player who is well trusted by the coaching staff to do every little thing that wins basketball games.

So for you to demean his good efforts is absurd.

Open your outer and inner eyes next time you watch the Celtics.
