They need the cap space for next year unless they ditch Humphries at the deadline for someone that figures into there plans next season. They don't want the repeater tax problem let the Lakers pay that out for not doing the deals they should've done. Thanks Jimmy!

The repeater tax is another $1.00/$1.00 over the luxury tax line.

It's not that big of a deal...

The Lakers revenue dwarfs the Celtics, so they will pay it if necessary.

    ROFLMAO!!!!

    In response to Fierce34's comment:

So Ainge keeping Kris Joseph is wrong!

Ainge offering Pekovic a poison pill contract - wrong!

The Celtics trim their total salaries to 50m is also wrong!

There are more wrong ideas/predictions, but for now, it's obvious the Celtics will be a lottery team and they will, at all cost, avoid the repeater tax.

They are almost as WRONG as you but only almost Mr. 99.9% WRONG...

    laughing out loud

Re: Training Camp Roster Likely Set

Training camp is going to be fun!

We have way too many SGs and PFs but I'm starting to see how they could be used in very interesting lineups, for example:

Imagine Bradley & Lee (pitbull backcourt) with Hump & Sully (board dominating frontcourt). Wallace's gritty defense could fit well with this group.

And then you could throw in Crawford & Brooks (volume shooting & scoring backcourt) with Olynyk & Faverani (stretch frontcourt). Green's ability to stretch the floor and drive hard would fit well with this group.
