Rotoworld furthers the report from Kawakami, saying the buyout was contingent on him signing with an east coast team once he cleared waivers.

Tim Kawakami is reporting that the Warriors have reached a buyout agreement with Troy Murphy, which should allow him to clear waivers and sign with an Eastern Conference team on Tuesday.

    Rotoworld's take:
He agreed to sign with an East Coast team as part of the buyout, and will choose between the Heat, Celtics and Magic. He has to sign by Tuesday to be eligible for the playoff roster, which means he won't have much time for a 'flatter me' tour. We will have more details on Monday.

If Powe and Murphy are coming to Boston then Chris Johnson is likely going back to the D-League.

I think the Heat need Bibby more than Murphy. I mean, come on, Murphy playing Center?

What Charles Barkley said, "as soft as a baby's butt", will be the perfect metaphor for Troy Murphy playing Center for the Heat.

    HAHAHA!!!

In my opinion Murphy signs with Boston. They already have Murphy in Bosh. The Heat really Bibby.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Troy Murphy Buy Out Complete : Correction: Tomorrow (3/1) is the deadline ... "A league source has confirmed that Troy Murphy has come to terms on a buyout with the Golden State Warriors, which will pave the way for the 6-foot-10 inch forward to sign with the Boston Celtics. The buyout is pending league approval, which won't come about until sometime on Monday. "

    Either one of these:

    1. Miami does not know what they are lacking or what they want

    2. Wants to sign Murphy so Boston cant sign  him

What a joke..Miami has been a joke all along since the Decision. Pat Riley has been a joke..trying to imitate DA ways..

Not exactly. Players being bought out need to clear waivers by todayin order to be playoff-eligible for another team this season. They can sign at a later date.

miami has haslem coming back, y would troy wanna go there? imagine at the end of close games, we have nenad/troy/jeff green/baby based on the matchup at the 5 or the 4, with kg at the 5 or 4, with pp, ray and west at the POIN! no other team can match that level of versatility and pure skill! murph will mean bb is playing no more than 20 minutes a nite and plying more center, with troy coming in to duplicate kg offensively with sets. west, wafer, green, murph/bb and krstic/bb/jon/sheed will make a great bench 5!

Re: Troy Murphy Buy Out Complete

You mentioned Haslem as a reason for not going to Miami, then you mentioned 3 different reasons for not coming here, not couting KG on top of those aforementioned reasons, and wait, you also metioned Sheed and JON. Our bigs are better and deeper than Miami, I think that is my point.
