Only means Rondo will not be traded. Boston sports fans paying to see Rondo play at the Garden will kill Ainge if Rondo gets traded.
Eldunker said that by January 15 Rondo will be traded already. Didn't happen. Will not happen.
i am one of those fans that would kill ainge...hes a young starting point guard making his 4th apperance and starting this years nba all star game only boston hater fans are the ones that constantly want him gone...just ridiculous
No real Celtic thinks making the All Star team amounts to a hill of beans.
The point is Rondo's a household name now. Some might think the All-Star amounts to a hill of beans, but there are some who don't see it that way. So it's debatable.
Like I said, explore trading Rondo in the offseason. Trading Rondo now means the season is over.
So your saying that management wants to keep Rondo because of financial reasons and not necessarily becuase of his team play... but exploring a Rondo trade later...becuase he is not a beelzebub as others here think??? Please explain your position regarding Rondo.
Trading Rondo now would eliminate the Celtics from contention as it would ruin team chemistry. Celtics struggle with their halfcourt offense without Rondo, in case you didn't notice.
In the offseason, if Ainge thinks it's a total rebuild then he will trade Rondo.
I have never said Rondo is untouchable.
We struggle without Rondo because we don't have an adequate backup. Terry, Lee and Bradley are primarily SG and are just fill-ins at PG. If we traded Rondo, we would need to address the PG position unless Bradley can work into it which I would love to see.
and you did not answer my question. What is your honest assessment of Rondo on the Celtics?
Even if we had a backup PG you really think that backup PG will be ready to become the full-time starter if Rondo is traded? No way!
My take on Rondo is simple, build around Rondo. If not, if Ainge wants a total rebuild from the ground up then trade Rondo.
