Not to mention LA is not known for its lakes!
The Minneapolis Lakers named their team "Lakers" because Minnesota is known as the land of 10,000 lakes.
So LA is not known for its lakes. Might as well call them Fakers because lakes and LA just don't match. It's like putting mayonaise on banana.
