Not sure about Rondo, but what is Doc supposed to ?
I think Ainge will give Doc and Rondo until the 2014-15 season. If the Celts will not be contenders by then, I think Ainge will go in another direction. -

If we dont trade away an youth and we sit this one out we can be nice next year we get a lotto pick keep our youth and spend some money in free agency.

Green is too limited of a player to be full time...not starter material..
Sounds good to me.But I still would like to see KG, Sullinger, Pierce, Green, and Rondo.

It is a matter of adjusting expectations. We may not be contenders for a while, it depends what decisions are made by Ainge (assuming he'll still be making the decisions). Reaching the playoffs and hoping for a couple of surprises may be the goal. I still remember the 2002 (I think) conference finals against the Nets. That was cool, even though they didn't win. -

I would keep Doc, I would let the string play out this year, let KG retire next year, ask Paul if he wants to be traded to a contender as a bench player or play one last year as a C, and try to use money left at that point to bring in a star player. But, I would never give up trying to build a contender. As GM, I'd owe it to the fans and I would remember how bad it is and how long it takes to go to the bottom of the league and try to come back.
While I don't think we can build around Rondo as if he's the Center piece, I would try to get 2 great pieces where Rondo can complement them. Terry, Bass, Wilcox, likely Green would be gone for whatever I can get for them.

I would love Larry back, but I don't think that can happen. They passed him over and he will never forgive them. Also I think he has some health issues.

I hope it happens. Cs need fresh ideas and need to rid themselves of the enigma that is Rondo
