Oh man, if that is serious then it's crazy.

It makes some sort of sense in regards to getting younger. But on an emotional level for the team and fans it's just so wrong.

When you have a player who has won a title, ranks in the top ten in; Points, Rebounds, assists and games. You just don't trade them.

It's as wrong as seeing Hakeem playing for Toronto and Ewing suiting up for Seattle and Orlando.

Perfect world scenario we'll have Bryant, Pierce, Nowitzki and Duncan (along with Parker and Ginobli) all retiring as one team players.

I can understand Ainge wanting to make moves as Boston is behind the elite in the East. But Pierce and to a lesser extent Garnett should be untouchable.

Historically the Ewing and Olajuwon trades gave the Knicks and Rockets nothing in return. Rockets ended up with Bostian Nachbar of all people. Knicks got our rubbish with Glen Rice and Travis Knight! Horrible moves.

Unlikely.  Looked at Simmons article and didn't see anything about it.  The first article didn't even have a name attached.  Kind of funny it just came out.

Also, Simmons wrote about Golden State turning down a Harden for Klay Thompson deal during the time when OKC was shopping Harden. What a bad decision.

Can you imagine: Curry, Harden, Pierce, Lee, Bogut ... they would have been far and away the highest scoring team in the NBA

I sort of understand not trading for Pierce, but turning down Harden?! Klay is going to be a fantastic guard at 6'7 with his ability to shoot the 3, but you never  pass up a sure thing.

That would have given us a good start on rebulding the Celtics. To bad, good try Danny!

Woulda been sad but can't turn that deal down after Rondo was out for the year... but obviously GS didn't offer it or do it.

It would really only have been a good move for the next two seasons if KG was ready to waive his no-trade and go to the Clippers for Jordan and Bledsoe

Rondo, Jordan and Biedrins would make a push for the worst free throw team in the history of the league^^
