IMO, we need additional help at Center and PG.....so here are some options for 10 day contracts to start;
http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/jerome_jordan/
was on the Knicks roster most of last year I believe.
http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/henry_sims/career_stats.html
young player not drafted this year, but feel has potential (but obviusly not enough).
some PG options:
http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/shelvin_mack/career_stats.html
he may be with Philly right now on a 10day, not sure.
http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/chris__wright/career_stats.html
http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/courtney_fortson/career_stats.html
now I know none of these guys are world beaters, however if there are no major roster shake up, we only have 12 players now with Melo..so we can add a couple minimum wage YOUNG players and see if there is a possible future Celtic there.

Celts have 13 players including Fab Melo.
Those D-Leaguers won't play in the playoffs so I don't think getting D-Leaguers is a good idea.
Let's break down the roster.
Here:
Bigs - KG, Sully, Bass, Wilcox, and Collins
SF - Pierce and Green
SG - Bradley and Barbosa
PG - Lee and Terry
The Celts don't really need to add another player if no injuries occur.

I only count 12, with Sully gone thats 11 active players.
we need a couples guys for practice and garbage time if nothinge else.
with the Sully injury now I would thnk maybe PF is needed more than an additional guard.
so try this guy maybe:

has some NBA experiance
or maybe a blast from the past:

We can use another big man, someone that can run, rebound and block a few. We appear to be a running team now. Wilcox will run if he gets minutes.

He has played well and has a nose for the ball.

Mack is a winner and a Rivers favorite. I think he is with Philly though isnt he?

Wilcox has played well when on the floor. I think his lack of PT has to do with the fact that he is 30 and had heart surgery and wrist issues. Wilcox also had heart surgery and not everyone recovers from these things the same. I think Doc is being cautious with Wilcox even though he seems to fit better than Collins in an up tempo offense and defense. Last night 5 minutes 2 pts 3 rebs 1 asst 1 st 1 blk can't be much more productive in 5 minutes than that. I think between his injuries he still might not be ready to play more than 5-10 minutes right now. I was hoping for him to be a solid back up and spot starter.

Wilcox's main problem is he often makes mistakes on D.
On offense he plays really well.

The Celtics are NOT going to add any D Leaguers.
They dropped Varnardo and Joseph, who was averaging 17.5 PPG and 5.3 RPG from the roster to clear space to add two players. There will be a trade for 2 NBA experienced players before the deadline.
I really think Pierce will be traded to add at least one quality player for the rebuilding effort now that Rondo and Sully are inactive and our chances to compete at a high playoff level is finished.

They can do 10 day contracts now. they couldnt when Varnardo was on the team. It wouldn't hurt to have another body for now.
