BTS....Moore stunk up the joint up until last night.  Just like AB stunk it up previously before the first Orlando game.  Im going to reserve judgment until all of this is done against the elite teams.  Orlando is a flawed team that we exposed.   I like what I have seen so far, but this is still not a championship team and being a 6 or 7th seed is only going to keep us from getting a good pick and delay the rebuilding process.

How about enjoying the regular season and the good wins we've gotten lately?
Are you only happy with a championship team?

Dont need to be a good Celtic fan to know when a player is not gifted offensively. Maybe that will change, I do hope so.

I am enjoying te season, but we are at a crossroads.  Not good enough to win it all and not bad enough to get a lot of ping pong balls.  If he is not going to blow it up, then do what it takes to make it a championship team.  I remember the early 90s and how things fell apart and suffering through them well into the 2000s.  It is what it is.

Bradley set the tone tonight, and caused Collinson into 2 early turn overs. He has hurt the Celtics in the past, but Bradley was all over him.

Alot of guys hang around alot being defensive specialists(Bruce Bowen,Ben Wallace,Charles Jones).
In Response to Re: Where are The Bradley Lovers? : Bruce Bowen was a very good 3-point shooter from the corner. Ben Wallace got no skills but he was monster inside the paint with his shot-blocking and rebounding. Charles Jones is a big man. You can't compare a big and a small. A big does not need to be a good shooter because he plays close to basket most of the time. But it's a must that a PG must make open shots from the perimeter or from 3-point land.  Again, once Bradley improves on offense he will be a legit NBA player. Until that happens he's just a defensive specialist.

Charles Jones was only 6 feet 8 . Bowen played for years, before he developed a 3 point shot.
In Response to Re: Where are The Bradley Lovers? : Charles Jones is 6-9 and he's a PF/C. Bruce Bowen was already shooting 34% from 3-point land in his 2nd season.  Right now Bradley is just shooting 9% from 3-point land. I'm not saying Bradley will never become an NBA player. But right now he's not. When you're a PG in the NBA you need to be a decent offensive player.

CJ was 6 8 and Cousy never made 1, 3 point shot in his entire career. You don't need to be able to shoot 3 pointers to be a point guard.

You need handle and court vision and passing ability. That's 3 other things Bradley is below average at for a guard along with no jumpshot.

He's a backup point guard on a team that has a guy able to play point forward. So I was right you don't need to be able to shoot 3's to be a pg. The 3 point shot came into being in 78 or 79,and Chris Ford made the first 1 in Nba history.
Several guards had great careers without making 1 .
In Response to Re: Where are The Bradley Lovers? : 1979-80 The NBA adopts the 3-point field goal (23' 9" from the basket). Chris Ford (Boston Celtics) makes the first official 3-pointer. http://www.rauzulusstreet.com/basketball/nba/nbahistory.htm The 3-point shot is the least of Bradley's problems. Bradley doesn't even have a jump shot yet. He's always missing if it's not a lay-up. He's worse than Rondo when it comes to jump shots.

Dude I owned you,and proved you didn't need to be a 3 point shooter to be a good point guard.
That's his point ... you don't need to be a three point shooting PG ... It didn't matter then and it really doesn't now if you are doing all the other things to help your team win ... control the ball and the pace ... dish to the right team mate at the right time ... be creative and able to score inside and out when needed ... slow down you opponent and create turnovers.

Your right, you need to score inside and out, but in this case, there is no outside shot, atleast not now.
In Response to Re: Where are The Bradley Lovers? : Bradley is 1-11 from 3-point land so far this season. Rondo is 3-9 from 3-point land. Rondo is not a 3-point shooter so he attempts less from the 3-point land. Bradley on the other hand has been taking 3s every time he's open for the 3. The problem is he's not making them. I'm pretty sure if Bob Cousy played in 1980 he would have done better than just 1-11. Ha Ha
    Posted by Fiercest34
Cousy would have been around 50 in 1980,so I doubt he would have made 1.
