It's not that I don't like the players the Celtics have now. Rondo is a great player, as much as I don't really like him, and Green is an amazing talent, as frustrating as he can be. But I think they will be better used getting younger pieces that can grow with the centerpiece that will come from this year's draft. AB will likely price himself out this offseason.
ABs out for several more games. This latest injury may help him and/or Danny realize his real worth.

    Which is almost nothing.

    Let someone else overpay Bradley.

I went to a Celtics event last night. They raffled off a Sullinger Jersey, Not a green or a Rondo, but a Sullinger. Made me think a little.

    My starting unit next year:

Rondo PG, Green SG, Olynik PF, Bass SF,and Faverani C.  All can run and pass.

    Second unit:

AB PG, Bayless SG, Sullinger PF, 2014 Drafteee SF, Hiump C.

Lets see how these units play together when all are healthy in 2015.

Right now Babb fills out a unifom and has played with some of these guys because of camp, so his melding with the current team is easier....Fav needs - desperately - to get regular minutes which he's getting in Maine...now, if they can just get someone to put some water on the court in front of Rondo.......

File this one under the mind not wanting to remember bad things...like Rondo skipping out on the team...I'd LOVE to forget that

Mark Murphy  @Murf56 about 19 minutes ago

Vitor Faverani was scoped today to repair torn lateral meniscus. Surgery was supposed to be exploratory. Previous MRI's were negative.

Is this the lineup you're using to get another lottery pick? If you're playing Green out of position it would be up to the 3, not down to the 2. KO is still the backup PF. Sully is a starter, and is a very good starter at that. Bass is not a SF...and would get torn up there. If you were forced to put him there, then it would be as the backup and you would play your draftee as the starter. As for the second string, I'd much rather see Bayless at the point than AB. It's already been established that Bradley is not a PG.

    Chris Babb again?

You're totally clueless about the NBA if you think Babb is an NBA player.

Chris Babb was not in the best SG on the Maine Red Claws!

    HAHAHA

    Yeah I'm clueless...

That's why you follow me around, obsessed over my analysis and why I prove you wrong again and again... but I'm clueless.

Having the resident punching bag refer to me as clueless makes me smile...

The reason you're smiling is you're embarrassed.

I mean saying things like Fav is already a legit starting NBA Center even when Fav has yet to play a single regular season game.

Or telling everybody that Pressey will be the opening night starter in Toronto in place of Rondo.

    HAHAHA
I am, I'm embarrased for you... get a girlfriend if possible.

    Typical LOSER response.

Instead of admitting to being wrong about Fav and Pressey, you resort to personal attacks.

Again, wozzy, can you confirm that you truly believe the Celts are hiding Fav?

    HAHAHA

    I'll answer if you will?

I said Pressey was the only other servicable point guard we had on our roster after Rondo and I was right.

I was right about Chris Babb.

Before I answer the third question about Fav answer me this?

Were the Celtics hiding all their talent in 2006, tanking, to showcase Big Al Jefferson along with the expiring contracts of Michael Olowakandi, Theo Ratliff and the rest, sitting Rondo in favor of Telfair, starting Ryan Gomes at power forward over Leon Powe or even Al Jefferson, or why wouldn't they play Al and Perk together, why Pierce went down with the mystery injury?

Did they tank in 06' or didn't they?  Does tanking happen in today's NBA?

Just want to know who I'm talking to, because if you think they didn't tank for Durant or Oden I have some prime swampland available in Florida to sell you.

If you think they did tank, what makes you think they wouldn't do it again?

Or do you really really just not want to go 0 for 3, so much so that you'd be willing to be play the fool for a third time?

I think the last couple of games have shown us that we are a better team without Wallace and Bradley.

Still too gutless to answer a simple question...

God you have no huevos whatsoever.  Man up.

You are so sure of everything, but never commit to anything.

Did the Celtics tank in 2006 or didn't they?  Do teams "tank" in the NBA?

    Answer the f-ing question?

Re: Who on this team do you want to be around next year?

I think they're just missing a star player, because they have plenty of second and third options. Easier said than done acquiring one of those kind of players, hopefully through the draft. If they're able to get a guy like Wiggins or Parker and he develops into an All Star player, he would be the first scoring option, which allows Sully to be a second scoring option, and allows Green to come off the bench and be a 6th man, which is a better role for him, and also makes the offense less dependent on Rondo and Bradley.
