I don't know where this Wilcox bad defense come from relative to Collins. All I see is Collins get beaten on defense regularly and it seems the only way he stop his man is to hack the crap out of the opponent. -

Yes, that's right! A 19 point lead tonight from how we started the game was horrible. What waS Rivers thinking???And what is it with beating Miami and the Clippers and a 4 game streak without Rondo and Sully? He should play the guy (Wilcox) who is just back from injury and out of shape!

Totally agree watching CW for 3:40 last night he did great! Putting some serious "D" on Griffin in contrast to JC. The alley oop and the great lay up were icing on the cake! He was out rebounded (1) but it wasn't for lack of effort...Play him but don't let him get injured! The second season cometh.
Collins is a decent reliever in the right situation.

I'm thinking it is health related his thumb was wrapped pretty heavy Sunday. I'm thinking they don't want himtrying to come back and have it reinjured and miss the rest of the season. He sure looks good in the 5 minute stints. Doc still hasn't adjusted to the fact we can blow people out uptempo and his slog ball can wipe out those leads in minutes. We score 90 in 3 quarters and then we score 12 in the last walking the ball up and having either Terry,PP or KG take a shot trple teamed with 2 seconds left or throw a suprise pass to someone trying to establish rebounding position because they haven't touched the ball for a while.

No it's not. His defensive rotations are bad and he doesn't set very good screens. There is more to the game than scoring. -

According to individual defensive stats logged by Synergy Sports, Collins is allowing a mere 0.657 points per play, which ranks in the 97th percentile among all NBA players. Opponents are shooting just 32.9 percent (26 of 79 overall) in plays that finish against him.
That and hard screens that free up the shooters are why he is playing.

Doc is an idiot? For recognizing that an injury, despite being to his hand, has sapped Wilcox of game-rediness? Reduced timing comes from inactivity and can hurt rather than help the team. Collins lack of agility doesn't mean Wilcox should just get out and "play it off", as it were. He needs to come into the game in game shape, and he's just not there yet. Doc is not an idiot - he's the one given the responsibility to coach the team. Why? Because he knows more than anyone here. He has to work with the players Ainge gives him - remember his reaction to the Perkins trade? And, Ainge has to work with the resources at hand. Hindsight is a wonderful gift.

None of that is true.Watch Wilcox's play in the last two games.
I have they are not as good as Collins and the numbers prove it. Colins adjusted plus minus has been higher as well. I love Wilcox but beleive it or not Doc knows what he is doing. -
