Maryland & Rutgers to the Big Ten?? Grew up in the Mid West, this is sad day for the Big Ten. Universities have sold their souls' for greed... Next surprise VT to the Big 12?
Never thought I'd say this, Cheeroh, but I agree with you here. I could see Syracuse or Pitt in the Big 10, or one of the Kansas teams, but Maryland? Rutgers? Boise State will be next.

Perhaps, but their athletic program is just simply aweful. Byrd Stadium is an echo chamber with stands 1/4 filled. MD is a very good academic institution Good Medical, Dental, & Law Schools, and a storied Basketball program. Does anyone ever mention MD Football but Boomer, or Scott Zolak? MD could not beat UMASS this year!
and Edsall needs to go he's worse than Spazzou... and will get toasted in the Big 10 Rutgers has turned their program around as Temple.

"Maryland needs the Big Ten for money. Rutgers needs the Big Ten for the same reason, and also to escape the giant pit of quicksand known as the Big East"
"There is the matter of the $50 million ACC exit fee, but don't expect Maryland to pay the full amount. In most of these realignment cases, the school has negotiated the exit fee down. That doesn't mean Maryland will pay nothing, though. The Terrapins will have to come up with a significant chunk of change on the front end to make more on the back end."
So Maryland is banking on the money down the road then to help pay for stadium renovation and paying the exit fee. Can't wait for Indiana-Maryland football games lol

It is well known Under Armour is behind UMD athletics. No big news, as NIKE is a sponsor of the Ducks. Please come to the table with better inside info, and enjoy ther ND/USC game.

Notre Dame is #1 in the Nation and will meet in Miami in the National Championship. How fitting it is that the BC clowns, not only lose their last game, but the ACC stinks it up by their top tiered teams getting slaughtered by the SEC.
BC altar boys please bring the polish for the Golden Dome and start shinning the pinnacle of success!
On Saturday night, Moore and Notre Dame cemented their remarkable turnaround, turning the tables on the preseason No. 1 Trojans and claiming their own trip to South Florida for the BCS championship game.
“It’s a testament to where this program is,” said Lewis-Moore, the defensive end who had five tackles, two tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks in the 22-13 coronation. “Four years ago, USC had an excellent defense that year. They really came in and knocked us around. To this point right now that we came in and we played our game.”
USC had the explosive wide receivers this time in Marqise Lee and Robert Woods, the two 1,000-yard running backs in Curtis McNeal and Silas Redd, the big-armed redshirt freshman quarterback in Max Wittek, but lacked the foundation to handle a more-physically dominant Notre Dame team in the trenches.

UCONN & Notre Dame on top headed to Bowls, and we have our green eyed monster coming out with more Guess Again predictions. At BC, gutless is their motto ... Never a dull moment at Shaker Heights going nowhere. Need to pony up more than Rosary Beads for your next Coach chump!

Gipper, Gipper, Gipper, did you realize that your boys and girls joined the ACC recently (I know, not in football because they're making too much TV money to want to split it with a conference)? Or did you notice that USC was without their Heisman candidate quarterback for this one. Gives new meaning to Luck of the Irish.

Think before you post stupid. Barkley will not even get invited to New York... and I must say, he has been out trumped by Johnny Football, and Mante T'eo. Grow up and keep on following losers as Buffoon College!
Unfortunate for BC, as they will be facing Max Wittex in LA and that should be an onslaught waiting to happen ... 42-0, as he is better than Barkley, and a Heisman in the making.

Cupcakes have to get permission to send GT to BCS bowl game with losing record to fulfill their bowl contract. Pathetic!!!!!! Whatever bowl is penalized by this move will have Cirque du Soleil at halftime. The game will have 4 minute quarters and 2 hour half time.

Atlanta Falcons, led by Matt Ryan, now 11-1. Whither Dayne Crist? Jimmy Clausen? Brady Quinn? Don't the Holy Cross Fathers wear cassocks, too, or were you unaware that South Bend was a Catholic University?
