LP is an expert at one thing.  Asking people to prove their points with facts and then when they do, ignoring them.

Takes a talent to be such a closed minded dummy.

In Response to Re: BC back to the Big East? : What point are you trying to prove ? I am pretty certain that logical thinking people on this post could care less about Leahey's phone logs. I found out pretty quick that trying to engage you in a sensible conversation is infinitely futile . Dealing with someone who constantly presents a negative agenda is nothing more than a total waste of time & energy . Regardless of facts presented by others, you have a history of completely ignoring correct information if it counteracts your veiwpoint. In the meantime, I will continue to be amused by some of your rants and also by the inolvement of a few Clowns on this post, who I notice always seem to cover your back by responding to people who call you out .

Based on most of your postings, it appears my educational level is still much higher than yours.

By responding in such a quick manner to cover LP's back, you have verified that you are indeed one of his clowns.

LP is the Ring Leader of Negatvity in regards Boston College Sports Teams & the B C Administration. Like every ring master at a circus, he needs his clowns to support him. This is where yourself and a few others like you come in.

So long as you and the other Bozos continue to respond to criticism of LP, especially when it is warrented, my point about you guys being his stooges will be verified for all to see.

In Response to BC back to the Big East?:
It appears secret meetings have taken place about reunion of BC in the Big East  with ND as a football member with separate revenues. It is part of the NBC negotiations taking place for a new contract. ESPN is also vying for the television deal. Another point of view in Big East boards. There are only two conferences left that will expand in college football in the near future. One is the Big 10 and the other is the Big East. The Big 10 added Nebraska while the BE added TCU, both elite football schools. The Big 10 prefers large land-grant schools with deep football tradition and stadiums exceeding 80,000 capacity. The Big East wants to be a more elite conference than the ACC on the east coast. Nationally, they were the 5th and 6th rated football conferences out of 12 major conferences. The only school that makes any sense for the BE is Boston College but BC stabbed the BE in the back and has delusions of academic grandeur that, other than it's Law School, are vastly overrated. They have maintained their "elite" academic standing by being highly selective. That means very few minorities as far as BC is concerned. They think the ACC is a better academic fit but in fact they are just a catholic fish in southern Protestant waters. Let them stay in their imaginary southern state of mind! As far as a Big East shakeup, it should start at the administrative level. First, that incompetent commissioner needs to be fired. Second, move BE conference headquarters to NYC. Third, add only ONE additional football school that has basketball star power. Being from NYC, I could care less about college football and if I wanted to see a traditional college game I would drive up to Fordham before I cross the bridge to Rutgers.

Re: BC back to the Big East?

I happen to agree with everything that is said here.  The ACC is getting ready to come apart.  BC has to look at alternatives.  Donna Shalala brought BC into the ACC as a buddy of Father Leahy.    The current jettisoning of black players from the squad after the start of Fall practice is going to mushroom into a national embarrassment for BC.

Today's Boston Globe quotes Spaziani as stating that both safeties were "not cutting the mustard" and had to go.  Basically with the new NCAA standards, scholarships can be renewed yearly.  He wanted both of those scholarships to give to several of the walk-ons.  He wanted to strike fear into the rest of the team with his immense power.  That's the issue in a "nutshell".

    FYI

scholarships have always been a yearly proposition and subject to the whims of the staff.  And it took him three years to decide to exercise this power? So strike this for the "immense" power of the truth LP.  What a load of poorly researched cr#p

Just about any conference would take BC     for it's Boston and New England TV market..  and the fact that  they'd keep their    automatic qualifying BCS bid a little longer.

Big East - Big 10/12   moving East if they go to 16... ACC talks of nabbing   4 more teams   but is or was a basketball conference   1st   that is now down to 2 decent teams  UNC and Duke and a bunch of wannabe prime time players.

ACC is dead Jackyldo and the Big East is a mixture of teams awaiting a Big Ten calling. Watching this Longhorn Network materialize can you imagine a University as great as Texas how this Network will enhance their overall athletic program dollars.

No wonder NEBRASKA Huskers left the Big 12. All about Mack Brown and the 'horns  HOOK 'EM Baby!   And BC relegated to playing whr's STONY BROOK? Big time and small time "pathetic"!

The way the ACC is being investigated will there be any good teams left besides Maryland and VT? Notice BC is avoided because of Spazzi a horrific coach!

JBQ - you have no idea what you're talking about
One player got dismiised for discipline reasons, and the other player decided to transfer when it became obvious to him that he would not get as much playing time as he was expecting. Both players would have contributed and Spaz has no one to replace these guys
If you have an agenda against Spaz at least come up with something that makes sense.
And if you want an example of a coach screwing with players and their scholarships look to Calhoun at uconn. A highly sought after recruit just announced he would be attending uconn. Only problem is uconn doesn't have any scholarships available for him. So within a matter of a few days we should expect to hear that one of their bench warmers got kicked off the team or is "transferring".
    More sleazey dealings at uconn

"It's not clear where his scholarship will come from. Connecticut has none available after losing three due to NCAA rules violations and a poor academic performance rating"
