Surprise, surprise. Notre Dame is ranked higher than it should be.The Fighting Irish blew out Navy ( congratulations) and managed to beat Purdue by three points at Notre Dame Stadium. Do those victories warrant a No. 20 ranking in the AP poll?

Hardly. Neither the Notre Dame passing nor the rushing attack is ranked among the top 40 in the nation.Comparatively, No. 23 Tennessee boasts the ninth-ranked passing offense after two victories, including a 14-pointer over North Carolina State. Meanwhile, No. 22 UCLA has the second-ranked rushing attack, and it also beat Nebraska. Both the Vols and Bruins deserve to be rated higher than the Fighting Irish.

Tomato cans on the Irish schedule Navy, Purdue, Stanford, Wake Forest and always overrated Michigan.

There is no more overbloviated sports program in the US than that of the UND Fighting (i.e. "Criminal Element" Irish in the words of former ND running back and suspended commentator Allen Pinkett). What a disgrace!

ACC still adding terrible teams to conference to insure added wins. They seem to lose, to even Div.1 1AA teams, when they go out of conference. ACC, the All Cupcake Conference!!

Dear Professor '48. I searched for highlights of Maine game this evening. Comcast Cable New England had "The Overbloviated U of SB" versus some Big Ten team. Go figure. Quoting A. Pinkett? Really?
Dublin weekend vs. Navy - Brilliant. Guess I should have stayed in Boston as they were not "The U".

Notre Dame can still make more news on a Wednesday morning than most schools make all year. This is part of being Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish live with the incessant talk that Notre Dame is not relevant, because all that talk just means Notre Dame is relevant.

You know who isn't relevant anymore? Princeton football. The University of Chicago Fighting Whatever They Were.

Notre Dame? Well, people love to say Notre Dame doesn't matter any more. I suspect these are the same people who claim baseball isn't as popular as it was 30 years ago, even though attendance and revenue are substantially higher. It's an easy claim to make, but it doesn't hold up.

The Fighting Irish are joining the Atlantic Coast Conference for every sport except football and hockey, and this should settle the debate once and for all. Notre Dame is still an enormous player on the college sports scene. Major conferences would rather kiss Notre Dame on the cheek than go all the way with Boise State.

Enough said TROLLLS.... THE POWER OF NOTRE DAME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for going through great lengths of research for everyone. The fact that you dropped everything you were doing to look up when your favorite team was playing today is awesome man. Keep up the great work man.
