Bring Urban Meyer and Gene Bleymaier to BC as Head Coach and AD!

Urban Meyer looked like he wanted to be in that booth doing color TV like he had ants in his pants and wanted to start coaching again?

Once a Coach, always a Coach.

Perfect for BC since he loved ND and we are in BOSTON and a devout Roman Catholic!!

Gene Bleymaier was fired by Boise State for......... WINNING!!???

Hire the right Gene this time!

Heck! If our pathetic loser GDF hired Urban Meyer he could save his job!!

BC football and recruiting are in a deep funk and malaise.

BC is loaded with Jesuit $$$$$!

5 years and $22.5 and bring us Urban Meyer! That would do it!

Beat out Ohio State for the deal!

FLASH THAT BIG CATHOLIC CASH ROLL $$$$$!

Meyer went on to earn his master's degree in sports administration at Ohio State University in 1988.[3]

He is a devout Roman Catholic.

Lighten up the Neenan Fund and Light up the BC world!

Sorry there SJS 1214 Urban is a strong Baptist boy and looks forward in addressing  his health problems over the next few years. BC is not a blip on his radar screen!

Coming to BC and taking a quick look at their pathetic venues in Chestnut Hill would be the eye sore. BTW: The reasoning Tom O'Brien left ... BC offers no athletic facilities which a recruit from your home State abbuting the Red River would take notice too.

1--Wiki said he was a devout RC? Oh well?

2--That loser and disgusting human being TOBlunders also whined recently that NCSU's facilities were too far away from the field or something when he started losing?

15 seasons and no conference titles or BCS games!

3--BC facilities are vastly inproved and that is a lame crutch excuse for BC!

4--I have Big 12 big boy real men's football a few miles away, beautiful parking, long tailgating, great teams coming and within driving distance of road games.

    Great crowds and weather!

BC recruited down in Texas, but has become very LAZY!

    You are 0-4!

    Thanks for playing!

BC needs a recruiting leased full time NetJets and someone like Gus Malzahn, Urban Meyer and/or a great name who can get BC out of its now deep funk and malaise.

BC is in way deeper football trouble than anyone realizes?

Our recruiting the last 3 years is low end, kids do not want to play for stooge Spazoo!! -- and we have no speed?

    Our WR's are frozen molasses.

Talent reigns Supreme and that's called SPEED!

BC's team speed is worse than Duke's!

    ENJOY!

SJS... Tom O'Brien will not make it at NCSU his team, as his coaching knowledge, skills, and abilities are terrible. The boosters are already grumbling down there in Raleigh.  This is his fourth season and he has achieved nothing in the ACC. Often Freddie Smerlas' & DeOssie's whipping boy on 'EEI their assesment was true to form ... "He just can't coach". I predict this will be BC's second win of the season.

Great to see the Green & Gold Baylor Bears back from a long dry spell!

    Cheerios--

    All true!

5th and last year for disgusting TOBlunders0-15.

Baylor grads in the area are happy, but you can see the different tiers of speed and talent... A&M crushed them!

Then again... A&M will get brualized in the SEC week in and week out, like all SEC teams do?

Smearlas or DeOssie would also be great staff guys!

    Thanks!

College football is BIG BIG business and you can see by ESPN's Bodenheimer zinging GDF for screwing up the "NETWORK" TV $$$$$ and plans for the ACC expansion and the ACC being livid at our apologizing stooge AD GDF,

Urban Meyer is the only solution implementation. No matter the cost, BC is rolling in TV millions and Neenan donations!

You give (UM) him a leased Netjets and the $4M+ and I will make your our new Atlhletic Director at BC Cheerios!

The sad tragedy is the embarrassment of BC's business school and humiliation of our power alums and the businees school aspect of my alma mater being run by IDIOTS and the College Football contracts and $$$$$ in the hundreds of millions for BC and BILLIONS for the ACC!

    Absolutely false.

Urban Meyer is a Catholic from Ohio. His family named him after Pope Urban.

For Notre Dame's purposes, Meyer is the guy who repeatedly, and even in his current biography, calls coaching your football program his "dream job." He's also, and this is no small consideration, devoutly Catholic, even named after a pope
    -http://www.floridatoday.com/article/20081120/COLUMNISTS0306/811200343/Notre-Dame-Meyer-seem-like-perfect-fit

Would it be Notre Dame? Meyer, a Catholic, has long professed his love for the school, where he once worked as an assistant coach.

The boys at VTech are doing some nice trash talking regarding the BC traveling 1-5 circus come Saturday. While their QB Logan Thomas stipulates; "no points are good enough what we are going to inflict on BC come Saturday". While I'll be at the USC game in South Bend, this could turn very ugly quickly much to my happiness! Isn't Beamer Ball great, take no prisoners, cocky  the way a quality team talks the talk and does the walk.

This is why we know whr has multiple identies and also has a severe cognitive impairment - all his aliases make the same mistakes!

Twice on this thread whr and 82nd have sung the praises of "Lou Saban".

The problem? Lou Saban has been dead for two years.

He is confusing him with "Nick Saban" the current head coach at Alabama.

What are the chances that two different people would both think that "Lou Saban" is the coach of Alabama? Unlikely. It is one person posting with multiple IDs.

[QUOTE]Lou Saban was a great football player and coach, is ranked as on of the best motivating coaches of all time next to George Halas and Bear Bryant. Taught his nephew Nick, who is called 'Louie" (middle name) by his closest friends all the tools of the trade and he owes everything to his cousin who died in 2009. from Tide fans.com:

Lou Saban, Nick's cousin, passed away

how come they don't call him Lou on tis board, which I assume is rabid tide fans?

There are also no connections for lou to Alabama as the closest he came was coaching UCF.  Why would they call Nick Saban someone who never coached or played at the school?

    and from wiki
Nick Saban, head football coach at the University of Alabama may be his second cousin, but the coaches' respective immediate families are not sure whether or not they are related.[5

and here is Nick's coaching experience as an assistant:

Saban was an assistant coach at Kent State, Syracuse, West Virginia, Ohio State, Navy and Michigan State in NCAA Division I-A, and with the Houston Oilers and Cleveland Browns in the National Football League.[11] Saban is considered part of the Bill Belichick coaching tree, having worked under him at Cleveland.

Nick never coached anywhere with Lou so how could he "teach him the tricks of the trade"?

when you lie, the hardest part is to get back to the truth

    ESPN Bump!

Urban Meyer --- This devout Roman Catholic can find balance at Boston College!

The SEC is a checkbook league where players are bought.

The NCAA knows it and so does every other team.

    This is not Florida.

    This is BC.

Texas A&M will find out they can't buy players and is now Kentucky.

Missouri says yes, and they will soon be Vanderbilt.

THE SEC IS A CHECKBOOK CONFERENCE!

Re: Bring Urban Meyer and Gene Bleymaier to BC as Head Coach and AD!

Well, news flash from Florida, where Urban had spent some time (like, you couldn't stop hearing about him) befort melting down -
    • re the religious issue, he's named after a pope, if that gives you a clue.  Ever hear of a devout Baptist naming their kid, uh, "Loyola" or maybe "Xavier"?
    • I think he obviously melted down under the demands of an ultra high pressure situation.  As a physician who does a lot of behvior work, the symptoms, diagnoses, and outcome, actually the whole story, was perfect for someone who was stressed to the max and personally decompensating over time.  Note that, for all of the symptoms and concern for serious "health problems", after huge thorough evaluation no one found anything at all wrong with him, and now, after some time, he's healthy and asymptomatic.
    • You've got to give the guy, and perhaps some good Jesuit values, credit for not either turning into a total dick or drinking and drugging himself into oblivion, but rather just walking away when what he needed to continue to do ultimately just wasn't compatible with his personality and the life he wanted it to be - football wasn't everything.
    • I would suggest he may be exactly the sort of person BC would want, and someone who would want BC - someone who can walk away from #1 in rankings and salary and choose other priorities matched with a school which can have similar priorities.  The question is whether he would want to "step back" in intensity and take a "lesser" position for "better" reasons.  But that's what I would try to sell him - "You can have a good, clean, solidly academic, well behaved, group of student-athletes (at least comapred to the semi-pro SEC) and still "a life".  That's kept a lot of great coaches at great programs rather than "moving up" to the NFL - Paterno, Hayes, Schembechler, etc.  Sell the college atmosphere, if you've still got it.
