    Yup, MO,

And we are left with the weakest coach in Boston.

Great job, Dear Leader and Flippo.

while you go to your triple-bogey golf game:

    How about those minutes?

How about the lack of publicity in college guides about the admin's duplicity?

How do you explain />32K applications including I believe a record number this year?

How about the turnover figures for the past 15 years?

What about criticism for Calhoun and the suspension, while bringing up other such things at BC which no one in the College was associated with? How about the dismal APR and loss of now three scholaships?

How about PC losing eight scholarship basketball athletes in two years?  Shouldn't the AD and Pres be held accountable for creating an atmosphere where this can happen?

Is losing a scholaship athlete ok because a new coach did not want to keep him?  If so what are the other reasons why it is ok when an athelete leaves when a new coach comes on board?  Is it ok if the kid decides on his own to leave?

Ah, Jimbo, that crafty Noo Yawka, took those Columbus clowns for a lotta moola! Now he's back coaching @ Leno Academy where he can still look & admire what the new coach is accomplishing on the Heights.

The weakest coach in Boston.  A totally logical conclusion to come to after 1 season and 20 wins.

Per the increased frequency of your posts I can only gather that you have some extra time on your hands between 7th & 8th grades.  Go outside and read a book, it'll do you some good.

    Boys,

We are stuck with the worst coach in Boston - thanks to Dear Leader's 1997 temper tantrum when his true position became unmasked.'

Would that JOB were back at the helm at The Heights - but then, again, I retract that; he's too good a guy to wish that upon him; I'd never wish anyone the misfortune of working for The Gang of Two.

    Peace.

Jim O'Brien quit because BC wouldn't let his subpar academic recruits into the school.

So what you are saying makes no sense.

Re: From the Horse's Mouth: The Future is Bleak at Conte

In case you needed a refresher.

However, O'Brien began running into problems getting his recruits past the admissions office after star recruit Chris Herren was forced to transfer to UNLV in 1994 for drug and discipline problems. During 1995 and 1996, at least three prospective recruits were denied admission. When two Boston-area recruits were turned down in November 1996, O'Brien nearly resigned.[1] He ultimately left for Ohio State after the 1996-97 season, sued his alma mater for slander and breach of contract, and decimated the Boston College program by taking star junior guard Scoonie Penn with him.

    MO,

YOU better get your facts right.

    JOB did NOT quit BCI.

As Blaudschun correctly reported at the time, Jim's contract was going to be renewed after a meeting with Leahy in which our leader agreed to lower admission norms for hoopsters, but warned that he did not want his decision to become public. Shortly after the meeting, the Globe published details of the meeting, and Leahy (apparently in a temper tantrum) decided not to renew.

JOB was let go, and went to OSU.

    THAT is the story.

And Leahy has NEVER denied the accurary of the Blaudschun article, has he? Hmmmmm.

It's tough when facts spoil your revisionist history, is it not?

    Peace.

That's not the way I or anyone else remembers it.  So prove it.  I showed you my proof.  Where is yours.  Oh, and your word doesn't count as proof.

Jim OB quit.  I don't blame him for quitting, but that's what he did.  Saying BC fired him is false.  At the very least, his contract was up and he left/BC didn't renew.  That is NOT getting fired.

As I said before, either prove it or your point will be blown off like all of your others.

Are you Mark Blaudschun? or his agent? or publicist?
No other way to explain why a person would have such blind faith in what Blaudschun may or (more likely) may not have written.

There  is the "Blaudschun article" from a few weeks ago about coach Donahue. Reasonable people would consider it very objective and even handed. But yet you interpret it as damining evidence that supports your belief that Donahue is a horrible coach

Then there is the mysterious "Blaudschun article" about BC leaving the Big East which you say proves your opinion that BC lied about their interntions. Yet you never provide a link to it or even any excerpts from it.

And now we have another mysterious "Blaudschun article" about the alleged facts  surrounding O'Brien's departure from BC. Again of course no link to it or excerpts from it.

If there was such an article, it was written by Will McDonough and the alleged facts of the article were refuted by the Ohio State AD and McDonough's peer at the Herald

"The column did not site a source.

``It's not true because the coach says it's not true,'' Geiger said. ``The alleged meeting he alludes to never took place.''

A column in Sunday's Boston Herald refuted McDonough's story."

    http://articles.philly.com/1997-04-08/sports/25529856_1_boston-college-jim-o-brien-kermit-davis

And if Blaudshun knew about your alleged facts regarding O'Brien, why didn't he mention any of them a few weeks ago when he wrote about O'Brien being hired by Emerson?
Instead all we get from Blaudschun is this bland statement

"O’Brien’s departure from BC also was marked by controversy and acrimony involving recruits of his who were denied admission by the college."

Re: From the Horse's Mouth: The Future is Bleak at Conte

confirming or denying the accuracy of an article is like mud wrestling with a pig; you both get dirty and the pig enjoys it.  Not gonna happen with Leahy or anyone else with an ounce of savvy in dealing with the press

    and I almost forgot:

    How about those minutes?

How about the lack of publicity in college guides about the admin's duplicity?

How do you explain />32K applications including I believe a record number this year?
