FIGHTING IRISH TO FACE LOUISVILLE IN BIG EAST SEMIFINALS
• No. 3 seed Notre Dame (22-10) will face No. 7 seed Louisville (24-9) on Friday in the semifinals of the BIG EAST Championship. Tipoff is scheduled for approximately 9:30 p.m. (ET) inside Madison Square Garden.
• The Fighting Irish and Cardinals met once during the regular season and the Irish came away with a 67-65 double-overtime victory in Louisville on Jan. 7. This is the second straight season that the two schools will meet in the semifinals of the BIG EAST Championship. Louisville topped Notre Dame, 83-77 in overtime, during last year's semifinals.
• Friday's game can be seen on ESPN/ESPN3 with Sean McDonough (play-by-play), Jay Bilas (analyst), Bill Raftery (analyst) and Doris Burke (sideline) calling the action.

Great game, as the Irish continue their perfect record of never making it to a Big East Final. What is the only team to win a Big East Championship and also make it to the ACC Championship game? -

Point well noted.
My only response can be that the fragmentation of our tenacity is really quite dualistic in its sanctimoniousness but at the same time the sensibility of all blindness is rather simpleminded in its simplicity.
Would you agree? -

Most certainly agree.
When young men bear arms and are put in harm’s way in foreign lands, we should think of those who give us the opportunities to enjoy March madness, and great collegiate hockey playoffs from well defined institutions. However, our sporting populace, media driven at that, often takes for granted a privilege as a right, where tribute is often predetermined. -

Given their recent failure, should UConn continue to have a men's basketball program? Just askin. They used to be good, like BC, but gee ...things have changed. Maybe they just need a new coach? -

Hey Big Mike, with 8 posts, perhaps you should be over in South Boston getting ready for the Parade, as your input does not make much sense. I am assuming since 7/19/2010, the Globe police have screened and categorized your discussions as non-essential to the matters at hand? -
