Yes, loyalists, The Institute will see post-season action: in the NIT
The Newton Invitational Tournament, that is.
Fans will be flocking to see this galvanizing 10-team field:
Behead Coaches Institute (nee BC)
Centenary
Fairleigh Dickinson
Jacksonville State
Lamar
Louisiana-Monroe
Sacramento State
South Carolina State
Texas-Pan American
Troy State
And for fan comfort, the tournament venue has been chosen to reflect attendance at Eagle home games this season: Newton South High School.

Nit is not really anything to sneeze at. It isn't the dance but you'd rather go on a good NIT run than have a one and done. Hang up another banner and be glad you haven't had the kind of year Holy Cross and their coaching roulette have experienced.
It will be interesting to see how the new coach does compared to Al Skinner.
Even more, I wonder where Al will end up or if he will return to coaching. I heard a rumor that he could go to Charlotte. Have no idea if it is fact or fantasy.

While it by no means guarentees they'll make the NCAA tourney the experts as ESPN.com have BC as currently in.....once again, who has a more knowledgeable opinion. And angry nutjob or someone whose job it is to do this???

So you are factoring in games that have yet to be played? Sorry didn't know we had Nostradamus posting.....
And the sight was update on 2/18 smart guy.
And since when it is the NCAA RPI selection committee? do you even know what you are taking about? I mean do you think you know? RPI is a factor they use in determining the field, the letter RPI are not in the name of the committee...

Whoa, boys!
Before y'all get too excited, remember that it is the NEWTON Invitational Tournament to which we are going.
More pro's:
There won't be a PSL to pay - unless The Gang of Two can find a way to do so.
Maybe we can even draw fans from as far away as West Roxbury.
More con's:
Dear Leader and Flippo likely won't spring for the carfare to send the Band to Newton South High School. Don't want to interfere with their downloading time at the libraries, don't you know.
We STILL won't fill even that venue, proving - once again - to the hoops world that The Institute is indifferent to that sport.

So clever, so funny, so witty. See you all, its not the National Invitation tourney, but rather the Newton...get it, get it? So BC isn't even good enough for the Nat'l so they must settle for the Newton...I mean, if I came up with as witty a play on words as that I would also surely repeat the same thing over and over and over again despite not a single person (until me) responding to it.
Man i wish I would have thought of that......

I find it funny how all year LP has been bragging that Baylor is such a better program when the reality is they had ONE season that was great and other than that have been a nothing program. And now that BC is once again having a better season we don't hear a peep out of the guy....
