Bumbles College should drop all sports but Hockey. The whole institution is in a shambles. -

It's a bit of both. Chaz Williams is the missing piece that UMass needed. They've always had decent size and now, experience. BC is incredibly young. It's going to be a brutal year, but as long as they build on it and keep that core together they'll be okay in a couple of years. -

I'll wait until after UMass returns from the Bahamas before I have a feel of this team. They haven't beat anyone of note.
As for BC, they were picked to finish last in the ACC for a reason. -

Guys and BC haters with High School diplomas......relax, BC is going to be terrible this year in Hoops (similar to Yukon in the late 70s & early 80s). Skinner left the cupboard completely bare - and this is a frame-off rebuilding job. If you hate BC - this is a great year to pile on, but all BC fans knew this was going to be a tough season - so this is not really a surprise.
Great days are ahead - keep the faith and Let's Go Eagles.
ND King - if BC is so bad? How come your "mighty Irish" were only able to beat such a terrible team by 2 points in their own stadium. Is ND the worst 8-win team ever??? The question rages! -

I was ready to buy into this team just before the Bahamas trip, but then against a Top 25 team they showed why Derek Kellogg has a losing record against Division I competition. -

Not to get the thread back on track but, UMass is not as good as we thought we were a few days ago, but Chaz is still the real deal, and after a few years of not having a PG we have one but does that mean low NCAA or NIT for UMass. -

BC Hockey's days in the sun are hardly over. If you follow at all you'd know that. Merrimack is a great story and their turnaround was due to BC's Mark Denehey, their coach. As always, BC Hockey will be there in March -

I was at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, and word spread rather quickly about how BC stunned Yale late in the third. Tough week down in New Haven.
P.S. BC basketball lost by then less than 20. Get the duck boats ready! -

BC won't be making the trip to Tampa. BC lost to all the power houses this year Denver & Notre Dame, and Minnesota Deluth will win it all again!
Enjoy the winter at Conte should be plenty of empty seats with what BC has assembled! -

Okay, the Globe sports staff and Dan Roach don't know what to do about reporting college sports this winter with BC in the dumps. Nobody cares about college hockey...5 miles outside of any campus that is. Relative to sports of national interest, College hoops...UConn is again number 1 in New England...Harvard is clearly number two and you can't get a sniff of this from the local press...UConn women are number 3...then you have UMass/Providence/URI fighting for the 4th seed in NE. -

Harvard does have a good team and it could go all the way ... 2-0 agianst BC's Wonder Boy ... all academic and athletic giants right here in Boston! ... UCONN however, is still the Number One!
