With Harvard the mainstay in higher education, both in athletics’ and academics, and BC offering nothing but disillusionment in bottoming out nationally in football, and basketball, year after year, should the Globe look to UCONN & Harvard as the main thrust in print space for potential? Jeremy Lin, and Kemba Walker have certainly captured the hearts of New England crazed sports fans, and I am suggesting an open letter to Mark Blaudschaun disregarding his BC beat as irrelevant, and devote more time to Harvard and UConn which year after year dwarf all other programs in New England to resolve the Globe’s circulation dilemma. UCONN NCAA NATIONAL CHAMPS !

as he continues to despair in his own wallow of the past husky teams

This is way beyond stupid. First of all, I want to see the open letter, because you're incapable of writing a real letter. You can't even spell Mark Blaudschun's name correctly. Are you saying that devoting more space to Harvard and UConn will sell more papers? More stupidity. Harvard students are more likely to be reading the NY Times and the WS Journal, and UConn students aren't reading anything (e.g. Kemba). And Harvard a mainstay in athletics? More stupidity. The last time Harvard went to the NCAAs was in 1946, losing to Ohio State in the regionals, then losing the consolation game to NYU.
Lin is a great story, and the Globe has covered it (see
http://www.boston.com/sports/basketball/articles/2012/02/17/harvard_product_lin_makes_splash_in_new_york/, but if you think there's any interest in Kemba Walker beyond a mile radius of Storrs, you're even more stupid than I think. Ray Allen, yes; Kemba Walker, no.

This is really the thrust of the UCLOWNS on this board. They all want the Globe to focus on UCONN (over 8o miles away) and give the "their due", whatever that is.
The name of the Globe is The Boston Globe, not the New England Globe or not the "an hour's drive away from Boston," Globe for those proud possessors of a UCONN sheepskin.

Time to put a period and end of BC's basketball season.
With 3 games left (8-19), Duke will put the final exclamation mark on a pathetic aspirant before a sold out Conte, as the Nation to it's astonishment wonders why this screening deserves National exposure?
But, we are talking Duke Basketball!
With no dancing it sight, a program scented with ineptness, the Nation will watch it all unfold, a myriad of bungled recruiting, inferior talent, substandard coaching, failed foresight, where no invitations are in sight!

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Wedged around Duke’s memorable wins over North Carolina and N.C. State, there will be little that will stand out about the Blue Devils’ 75-50 triumph over Boston College when folks are reminiscing about this season.
Duke is good. Boston College isn’t.
The Blue Devils played well. The Eagles didn’t.
And that was pretty much that.

Or are you asking them to get rid of the team? Because that would make sense. Get rid of a team of 9 freshman for losing to a top 10 Duke team. (and forget they just beat a top 20 FSU team)....

These dudes are weird, just weird. These are threads about BC yet they have really become 4 to 5 non-BC fans talking among themselves about how they hate BC and their fans are stupid? Sounds like a fun time to me. They are the same as a virus causing every other well meaning thing to vacate and leave them to feast on each other.....
My only hope is that these people truly are teenagers, otherwise I really do feel badly for them.
