Twelve Varsity Soccer Teams Join the Fight to Kick Cancer

On Saturday, October 1, twelve of the finest high school soccer teams in the state will join the fight to kick cancer.   Playing in honor of courageous family members and friends who have battled cancer, their goal is to raise $30,000 to support the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.  The fifth annual Kicks for Cancer promises quality soccer, raffle prizes, and concessions throughout the festival.

Round one, at 3:00 pm, will feature the Middlesex League’s Lexington versus Belmont and the Baystate Conference’s Brookline versus Newton North.  Round two will be an all Middlesex League affair when Reading takes the field against Woburn and Stoneham plays Wakefield at 5:15 pm.  The 7:30 pm games will showcase the DCL as Acton-Boxboro takes on Wayland and Concord-Carlisle hosts Lincoln-Sudbury.  All games will be held on the turf at 500 Walden Street, Concord.

Great cause, great teams, come out and enjoy some of the finest soccer in the state.

It was well worth the ticket last year, and they seem to have taken it up another notch.
