Tritiny Catholic got blasted by Arlington Catholic, 11-2. Hopefully, we don't see them in the Top 20 for the next 15 years.

CC 4-1 over Cambridge.  The game was closer than that.....Cambridge has some very good players, but CC brought a bit more defensive intensity.  Cambridge middies did assert themselves defensively for a good portion of the 2nd half, but by then the game was lost.

The OCL (Dartmouth,Taunton, Bridgewater-Raynham, Barnstable) is looking impressive this year. Taunton is undefeated and beat New Bedford. Dartmouth beat Brockton 2-0. Bridgewater-Raynham tied New Bedford and has a couple other ties. Barnstable I think is still undefeated. Watch out for these teams.

Barnstable has Sandwich at home Thursday

They are much improved and made the tournament last year.

Will be a better test than wins againt the Vinyard and a real weak DY team.

I'll give you that, impressive result, no doubt. The question is how will Brighton fare once the tournament rolls around? Hopefully Brighton has bigger and better goals than just winning the Boston City League.

Concord Carlisle 4 Acton Boxborough 2:  Good game.  AB had the better of the play for most of the first half, though it was 1-1 at the break.  CC was finally able to assert itself in the second half to get the win.

    Re: Top 25 Boy's Soccer

St. John's Prep is looking stronger than ever.

Silver Lake, probably overrated, too soft of a defense, but have to go by the results so far. Same goes with the Patriot League teams, defense is too soft, especially against the upper tier of the Bay State. Silver Lake's dynamic offense was shut down by Duxbury, holding them to one goal, same with Hingham's offense vs. Sandwich.

Concord-Carlisle has been better than I expected.

Walpole, undefeated so far, but the tourney is a different story. Let's see if they can step it up when it counts the most.

The groans are coming in with Brighton at 21. At least I didn't put Tritiny Catholic in there.

The "others receiving votes" some of those could also be the sleeper teams during the season

So how can you do a top 25 and not see any of the teams because you are living down South. Just curious.

No one gets to see all the teams play.  The only way to do it is to go by results, mov, head to head, common opponents, past history, and word of mouth.

If you don't like Alex's ranking, who's in your top 25?

Probably because rankings are based on final scores. For instance, I could've gone to every Madison Park game last season and based on their talents and what they did on the field, they were possibly more skilled than any other team in EMass, however it doesn't translate into a #1 ranking. If a team looked good and dominated play, but lost the game, there is a reason they lost the game. Even if I had gone to these games, it wouldn't change my ranking. Not to mention, one can only go and see so many teams play during the course of the season.
