Question: If the score was 0-0 at the end of the game before the Giants scored would the loss be the fault of the Defense ? Remember the Pat's strength is their offense.

You have a 17-12 lead throw the 2nd worst playoff pick of your career, only to last game's of course, and now you want more time?  You will stop at nothing for a simulated load on your chin from Brady, will you? Wipe that chin,  Prolate.

How many posts from you? Wipe that chin yet? lol What;s pathetic is you commenting on this thread when everyone can see in bold print WHY we lost all 3 games to the Giants. I'd get that IQ tuned up after you take the Brady underoos of your head.

And there it is. Our strength is our offense. Its why we have averaged more points then any team over the last 5 years.

Unfortunately that prolific high scoring offense amounted to 14, and 17 points in our 2 most important games. The Super Bowls.

but our defense that allowed 17 and 19 is the real problem?

    Fans here need perspective.

138 passes to 55 rushing att's is us trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. It is the definition of insanity, and now because of it we have lost to the same team 3 times in a row and 2 of them on the greatest stage.

Balance = unpredictability = offensive efficiency.

    We have no balance.

The defense played a more consistent four quarters in the Super Bowl, but they did not play well. They got marched on every time the Giants had the ball. How do you not see that. No three-and-outs, no turnovers forced and the opposition scoring on 50% of their drives is simply not good defensive football.

The Patriots offense did not play well except for one drive at the end of the first half and one drive at the start of the second. Outside of that, the Patriots were dominated on both sides of the ball.

BB was outcoached by Coughlin plain and simple for the third time in three games.

Re: 138 pass att's to 55 rushing attempts in 3 losses in a row to the Giants?!?!?!

    Just for those that don't know;

There is a game clock that measures the time of a game, when you pass and it's an incompletion the clock stops, when you run whether it be for 3 yards or 10 or 20 and get tackled inbounds the clock continues to run.

Prolate stating that we don't have the personnel to run the ball like we did in 2001, 2003 and 2004 is about as dumb a thing as I've ever heard here. This season's offensive line was easily the most talented we've had in BB's tenure as head coach and maybe of all time.  Oh yeah and our tight ends weren't too bad either...

Choosing not to run the ball and not being able to are two different things entirely, try not stating your opinions as if they are fact.

[QUOTE]Prolate says dumb things in order to protect his ego. That's what he does, Wozzy. You and I say, "yeah, that's a really good point/observation, I never noticed that." He lashed out, embarrassed just flailing like a boxer stumbling back into the ropes. He also said Brady "has his one hand tied behind his back" in describing the talent around Brady here on offense. lol!!

For some people it's difficult to admit they were wrong, instead they just keep repeating the same company line over and over... even when history has proven them to be wrong again and again, like in this case.  I can't believe we've had the same result in the playoffs for the past 5 years and they're still beating the "fantasy football stats are all that matter" drum?

It's amazing that we are still having this debate. You would think that this loss would be the last straw but no. Too many people here are hung up on fantasy football and think that will win a Super Bowl.

[QUOTE]Right, holding down 3 very good WRs, and a QB the media raved about all week, talking about YAC and big play ability, the D "didn't play very well". LOL!! And BB can't throw, catch or avoid INTs. BB was not outcoached. BB's def gameplans in all 3 games were actually very good or great. If anything we got out-coordinatored from the offensive side of the ball to the defensive side of the ball. NE has gifted 3 wins to the Giants. One on a miracle catch, no INT by Samule or Meriweather, sack by Jarvis Green, 2 PI calls which were iffy and two INTs by Brady at the worst times possible in November, and this game on Sunday. Gifts. Josh McDaniels better have learned from his time here and away. He better not cupcake in here thinking he can continue to do this.

How is a gameplan that give us scores on 50% of possession a good game plan? How is a gameplan that allow the other team multiple first downs on ever possession a good gameplan? How is a gameplan that allows the other teams offense to keep yours off the field for long stretches when your offense is based on rhythm and repetition a good gameplan?

If you want to start playing the penalties and pretend plays that happened did not, the Giants could have blown out the Patriots. Take away the holding on the Giants towards the end of the first half and the non-PI call versus Moore in the fourth quarter (both of which led to punts) and that game could have been 35-10 Giants.

Last I checked BB was the head coach so if something is philosophically wrong with the offense it is his job to fix it. Buddy Ryan was a bad coach because despite being a great defensive coach he put some in charge of the offense and was hands off. Rex Ryan is not a great coach for the exact same reason.

You do know this game is played for points right..?

The Giants played well, lets not take anything from them, our offense played worse...

Why is this continued to be rehashed over and over and over. We lost. Let it die.

Facts are these: The offense needed to make a few more plays. The defense needed to make a few more plays. They played as a team and lost as a team. Kind of moot throwing blame around now.

Lets shift the focus to the offseason and looking forward to the draft and mini camps.
