OK Patriots fans who is the first player on the Pats list of guys to talk to? Sean Smith? Ed Reed? Osi U? Mike Wallace's agent? We all know about our own players but what about the potential new faces? anybody really stand out that you want?

Adrian Wilson, Wes welker, and Aquib talib.

I'm not sure about who will be "first"...but I have a very strong feeling that BB will take a serious look at Adrian Wilson. The fit is perfect... veteran SS that can cover. Although he did take a step back last year, he is still a big upgrade from Chung/Gregory. Pairing him with McCourty would be awesome. Also, his price should not be too much. I think I'd prefer him over Reed tbh.

It wouldn't shock me if BB gave Jennings' agent a call...although I do not expect anything here if Jennings is looking to get paid big money.

Dunta is off the board.    Talib, Cox, Vollmer and Welker now in focus IMO. 

Sean Smith, Steven Jackson, Ed Reed, Wallace.

Of course Welker is at the top of my list but they are done talking for now.  Time for testing the market to run it's course.

Nah TFB, Smith is overrated dude...  Talib has more natural talent and will cost less.  I feel his off field antics are a little over blown, and he will settle down wi\h the Pats at age 27.

Most probably know this already but I gotta post this because it gets me excited for things to come.

The Patriots currently sit with the 9th most free cap space in the league, the third highest for a playoff team next to the Indianapolis Colts and Cincinnati Bengals. Most of the NFL's competitive teams are in bad cap situations.

Cowobys, 49ers, and Browns have contacted Welker's agent
Patriots have a very good offer out for Welker
Welker needs to be blown away to consider other teams' offers
The Patriots have contacted the agents for Mike Wallace and Michael Turner
Several teams have called about Mallett but Belichick does not want to trade him

Although I doubt the two guys they've been in contact with for weeks will be 2 of the furst 3 calls they make once they can talk to EVERYBODY... those 2 know what the Pats want to pay them and will test the market

Not sure what the infatuation with Adrian Wilson is? Yes if we could gt the AW of 3 years ago I would be psyched, but did anyone see him play last year? 32 y/o's dont normally have an injury free down year, then bounce back.

Browns actually called Welker's agent as well and was told not interested. He needs to be blown away to turn down New England's offer

Guy is a leader on defense. Even though his skills may have slipped a bit he's the perfect choice(i think) to pair with mccourty. He's basically an ed reed but taller and can probably be had for less money than reed. He's also a true SS unlike reed.
