Is it better to take a pay cut in the uniform you wore, & the self imagined humiliation, or to take it in a new uniform? It's still much less than he made last year. One other thing. Wont he & most other players be hit by an additional 5% tax this year? -

He wanted out. Got his $9M last season, milked the Pats for more money in that one season than they wanted to pay. Between last season and the next two, his average is $7M+. Welker to Pats = "Thanks for the memories but not the money!".

Bb better start acting like the potential HOF GM he is and start bringing in some talent. Amendola for welker is a joke. If bb thinks this gets it done, he is not the HOF gm I thought him to be. This is just another case of the pats cheaping out, and instead, stacking the FA roster with a bunch of has hasbeens and filler...kind of like a cheap sausage.
