    Re: 2010 Mock Rounds 1-6

Mesko is the best specialist in the draft, he was ranked number 1 as a punter and he was ranked number 1 as a special teams player.

    Great Pick

I think we all found out last year that the loss of Hobbs which dimished our field position on kick offs lost us some games... our average field position went down almost 10 yards...

If you have the comparisons please post it

We have not had a legit punter since Tom Tupa and he wasn't even that great

I am assuming that with the 2 TE picks, BB is looking to spread the offense more

Any chance we throw a pick on Trindon Holliday with our 6th or 7th? I would be up for it. With some coaching he could be an exclusive KR and may play Sproles like role. He is tiny at 5'5 and 160 lbs, but could be a good project pick. He did run a blazing 4.3 in the draft. Your thoughts?

    Re: 2010 Mock Rounds 1-6

Aaron is better than Ben Watson was comming out he knows how to find space in the zone and the same goes for Gronkowski.

Watson had straight line 4.3 speed but he did not know how to settle down and find wholes in the zone as a TE should.

I personally think Aaron will be used in the Slot with Edleman to help get us over the hump while Welker is getting Healthy

Punter in the 5th round?  NO RB, NO DE, NO OL.  A punter?  IM sure you all got BB's back on this pick as well.

Absolutely.  The 2nd best punter Brent Bowden went at 172.  Before the draft I was hoping for Mesko at 190.  Neither of them would have lasted as it turns out.  We have 8 solid picks that will make the team.  I'm not sure there are too many position players left that could make the 53 man team.  We are picking for the practice squad pretty much at this point.

    Re: 2010 Mock Rounds 1-6

I really hope they use the TE more in the passing game. I agree with the analogy of having a nice car in Boston. They really only used the TE in the passing game in the first game and in the last (when Welker got hurt). I say use these guys more if you are going to invest so much in them. I don't buy the argument that Graham and Watson were crap and Gronk will be the answer. I think Watson and Graham were good but underutilized players. Dave Thomas is another good example of a guy who could put up numbers, just not here.

Use the TE's more please! Alter the offense if you need to...

I'm not arguing Watson was elite, either. Maybe Gronk will be but I'm sure the O can be adjusted to be more TE friendly.

Now we are in the middle of the 6th round.  Jonathan Dwyer is still available.  We still need a big body at DE.  Viable option: Clifton Geathers?

Let's take a chance on Tony Pike, another skinny and tall QB at the end of 6th round.

The Pats get a big fat F for the draft today.  Lots of talent they could have added and they sit on there hands and do nothing all day.

I disagree.  Aaron Hernandez is a steal, plus we got the best punter in the draft.  Dude, we don't have room on the roster for much else.  We loaded up.  We're now picking for the practice squad.

Alfonso Smith RB, I can see him as a 7th round pick.
