I just seen a video on youtube of nate and he was getting beat in almost every single play........... NE has done a great job picking OL in the later rounds and turning them into studs they could of done it here too!!!! damn

Not suprised that they took Solder, but didn't expect him to come off the board at 17 or before Castonzo.

Seems the kid was in big demand (from what they're saying and NE didn't trade back, so that kind of validates that he was) and NE has one of, if not the best OL coache(s) in the NFL so they're clearly pretty comfortable with this pick and they haven't missed much in Rd 1.

Not an exciting pick, but he's exactly what NE likes in their OT's, big, long athletic kids with good feet.

There you have it. Clayborn is lower on my board, but they needed a DL player. That leaves tons of good OL players for the Colts and KC. KC also needs LBers too. I can't see the Colts passing on these sliding tackles.

General reaction from Pats tweeters is disappointment. Would wait a bit before final judgment. Long way to go. Need to see complete context.

    MikeReiss:
Lot of defensive line depth in this draft. Also some good pass rushers. Solder potential LT of the future. Important to protect Brady. [via Twitter]

too much d-line going late into the round to trade out of it, I think BB gets the guy he wants with #28

Many of u are missing something important.  Just because we see 3 top OTs there, doesnt mean BB and crew didnt see something that separates Solder from the rest.
