Shane Vereen is a favorite of mine. Seems like a bit of a reach. This is the highest I thought he'd be taken.

Even Im starting to lose it, Shane Vereen? Loved Solder, loved the trade back @28, loved Ras-I Dowling but come on, where is the pass rushers? Please, get us a pass rusher at 60!

Loved his talent coming out. He didn't even carry any behavior flags ... man has he turned into a total head case.

Boatloads of talent though. I'm sure the Raiders will love him.

Cincy's and TB's come and go ... the Raiders are always "Al's" team, lol.

NOT A FAN OF THE LAST 2 PICKS

( Liked LeShoure better or Hunter a round later )

I live in Oregon and watch Pac-10 so have seen a lot of Shane Vereen. I like the pick. Great hands and very quick

edit: Although I can't argue that 56 seems a little high for him

Vereen is perfect match for Pats. Also BB consistent as ever taking his guys a bit earlier than every one expects.

I don't hate the Vereen pick but I had Leshoure as the better back.

Thank god we pick at 60, which is very soon. Houston or Acho please.

    from walterfootball.com

3/27/11: Allen Bailey somehow dropped 10 pounds since the Combine, weighing in at 275 at his Pro Day. He had an otherwise solid workout, but you have to wonder about the weight.

he went up to 285 for the combine and after meeting a couple times with the Pats was weighted in at 275 on his Pro-Day

mb vereen, your guy. hes not a 3 down back though right? change of pace back?

are we picking one up in fa?

i thought we might be going elsewhere at this point.

with hudson going, might be the best interior lineman in the draft.

we might need to take moffit at 60?
thought maybe at 56 before hes gone.

    but no olb or de.

its gotta be olb at 60 right?

what a crapshoot guessing at this point.

wonder why  nfl.com went away from radio city music hall?

only commentary these guys have is patriots did it, i'm not going to criticize it. they know what theyre doing.

LeShoure isn't that great in traffic to me.

Love Hunter but has over 700 attempts and a ankle that is currently held together by screws and a plate.

Well, Vereen brings somethings that neither Hunter, nor LeShoure offer. He is a 3 Down back. Ne has never really had a true 3 Down back.

He makes sense if you see him as the regular kid in the 2TE and spread. He can pass pro with the best of them, and he can split wide. He has a little wiggle, but I don't think of him as the HR hitter some were hoping for. Honestly, I would have taken a WR instead, but that is me.

NE needed a playmaker ... let's hope this kid is it.

What's frustrasting is that they could of had Prince and took Ras instead. They could of had Ingram and took Vereen. If they took a CB or RB later in the draft no problem but they targeted these players when better players were available where they were picking. Confusing to me

D@mn. I hope he doesn't have a crack addiction or cancer. That puts him about where Adalius was.... a big FLEX who can stack. NE was certainly interested. On my previous mock I had them taking him in the third ... as a JG replacement. Maybe they think he has what it takes?

Actually, I haven't seen much of Vereen so i'm done judging. If he is a 3 down back liek some of you say, Im glad we picked him up. He has great measurables. 4.5 40 and 31 reps of 225. Time to youtube the kid.

Never buy the hype of lables. Vereen is over 210 lbs and benched 225 30 times. He's very rugged.

If Cobb, then an OG in 3rd round (72) and BB's done, (late third traded for 2012 2nd).
