Just got back from Vegas.  What did I miss?  30 mins to go.

A lot of rumors, mostly untrue. However, the Cleveland/Atlanta trade appears plausible.    Faucetman, I'm sure I speak for many: Welcome back!

Re: 2011 Patriots Draft Options ***UPDATED TOP 75***

My last best guess at our first pick, assuming we don't trade up.

    1)  JJ Watt
    2)  Cam Jordan
    3)  Mike Pouncey
    4)  Nate Solder
    5)  Anthony Castonzo
    6)  Gabe Carimi
    7)  Ryan Kerrigan
    8)  Aldon Smith

If it's someone else I will truly be surprised.  My dark horse picks would be, depending how far back we trade:

    Mark Ingram
    Cameron Heyward
    Phil Taylor
    Mikel LeShoure
    Danny Watkins
    Martez Wilson
    Derek Sherrod
    Muhammad Wilkerson
    Akeen Ayers

If we don't get one of these guys then we likely traded completely out of the first round and I'll reset after the first round.  Anyone not on this list would be a complete shock to me that I never saw coming.

Thanks, glad to be back, in the nick of time.  That would be a HUGE move up for ATL.  Would take a lot to go up that far.

In Response to Re: 2011 Patriots Draft Options ***UPDATED TOP 75***:
Hey all. I really enjoyed checking this thread once again this year in the months leading up to the draft. Great insight on which positions you all thought should be priorities on the Pats draft board and which players were falling and rising, best fits for the system, etc. Thanks to all the regulars for being so entertaining and knowledgeable. I have a question, if anyone could help me out. I remember that when I was watching the draft last year, whichever network I was on had this really annoying habit of having one of their correspondents announce every pick ten seconds before the commish did. It kind of took some of the fun out of the draft. Does anyone know if the NFL network or ESPN does this, or both? I would like to avoid it this year.

I don't remember. They may have been both doing it. I think it was Kiper. I'm going to watch on NFL network most likely.

Thanks Kyle. I will probably stick with NFL network as well, to listen to Mike Mayock.

If I had to choose one analyst to listen to, it would be Mike Mayock.  I like him way better than that idiot Kiper.

Yea. Definitely. Schefter though is solid.

I hate that both channels spoiled the pick. It's not cool at all.

I liked how they boo'd Goodell so who's going to go to DeMaurice and do the same thing so that his head doesn't get to big realizing we're PO at him too

Boy, ARI should take Gabbert but I think they will go Peterson.  Much safer pick.  They prefer a veteran QB esp after the Lienardt disaster.

They need both. I could see them begging Goodell for two selections back to back. Lol.

Peterson goes here unless there is a trade.

yeah, I hate that they show the player on the phone before each pick.  They ruin it and been doing it for a few years now.

we could offer 17/28 and go up and get Peterson if we wanted.  We clearly won't do it.

This is getting really good for NE at 28, so far Bills, Cincy and Arizona in play for 28 or maybe 33.

Now the big question does SF take Gabbert or does he fall to Tenn. If he gets to Tenn that could really hurt us in a trade for #28 as I think they already have a deal done if Dalton or Ponder are there
