i like the sound of that. if we can get pass rushers, 2 cbs including talib, and potgentially our safety of the future in fa and the draft thatd be very good. of course i would have concern not upgrading our o line, so we might have to trade a 2014 3rd for a 4th to get some more o line talent.

Welker vs. Mike Wallace??

Wallace is now unrestricted and the Steelers likely won't tag him.  He was pretty disgruntled last year with the restriction.  Word out of PIT is he's gone.  Would it be a smart play to give Wallace the money we could use to keep the much older Welker?  Edelman and Hernandez can work the middle and we could pair Wallace with Lloyd on the outside.  We then don't need to draft a WR high in the draft.

I heard Wallace had a bad attitude in PIT all year and didn't like his opportunities.  This could turn BB off.

the chiefs are likely to receive a 3rd round compensatory pick which could allow them to trade their own 3rd or 4th round alond with their 2nd round for #29 if they are targeting a QB in that area.

I know there is alot of talk about WR's and I agree that we could use a deep threat WR in the draft or in FA but it sounds like most people on here have alreadt written off Welker.  I know the franchise would be a huge chunk of money and I know there is talk of franchising Talib. So who do you choose??  Do most of y'all really think Welker is gone even tho he has been Brady's go to guy since he arrived in 2007? I hope they keep him but I am starting to have my doubts after hearing the cooments on here.

if he were a 6 2" outside threat 100+ passes thatd be great. or half of a big receiver set with 50-70 passes. 

we need bigger recevers possession and vertical, and we need our qb looking at them, not dumping every pass 4 yards to win sbs.

likewise on defense, bb needs to advance his defense to the modern game and make more of a penetrating/pressuring defense.

Sure would be nice to see what the outcome would be if Gronk was able to play in NE's (2) most important games recently (Super Bowl vs. NYG, 2013 AFC Championship vs. BALT)...

Georgia ILB Alec Ogletree was charged with DUI. Ordinarily it probably wouldn't be a huge deal, but coupled with a 4 game suspension earlier this year for a drug-related issue, and an arrest his freshman year, this could cause him to drop on a lot of teams boards.

 

He now could present exceptional value, talent-wise, depending on how far he falls. I would have liked to take a look at him if he was there at 29 before this, but now the value would be even greater to add an athletic coverage LB like him in the 2nd, maybe even 3rd round or beyond.

 

Will be interesting to see how much this affects his stock.

BB should draft either Hunt or Reid 

if either are still around. We know that

Reed may be an option but what 

if Pitt cuts lose Troy. Could we add 

both on a 2 year deal.  It is a

longshot but a nice pairing of 

safties.
